33cl bottle rom the Bottle store, Brugge. Hazy golden blond, huge white head. very grassy, hay, malts, cotton candy (suikerspin), caramelised sugar. Taste is, unsurprisingly, sweet, sugar, grassy. Nothing wrong, correct beer. Only too sweet and grassy for me.

Benzai (16681) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - AUG 19, 2014
Bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus and Ansjelaah. Hazy yellow golden color, average sized quickly diminishing off-white head. Aroma is malts with light influences of spices and fruit. Taste lightly malts, lightly yellow fruit, lightly yeasty, again a light hint of herbs or spices. Medium body, medium carbonation. Decent tripel.

Bottle @ benzai. Clear golden yellow colour with a small to medium sized white head. Smells malts, sweet, some herbs and yeast. Pretty standard and boring Belgian tripel smell. Tastes sweet, malts, some banana, yeast and some herbs. Meh. Medium body, decent carbo.

BlackHaddock (7672) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - FEB 5, 2014
33cl bottle: drank in De Bierboom (Brugge) on 30th Jan 2014. Brewed for the lovely beer shop Cornelius in Brugge. Blond, almost clear body with a big white head. Typical Belgian Tripel in nature, yeasty and with a half hidden alcoholic feel from the start. Strubbe make a few ’Tripel’ beers, this could easily be any of them ’tweaked’ a little. I enjoyed it, but I’m not sure it’s really a new beer or just a new name.
