A dark amber color with a little extra dose of brown. Sort of oxidized at this point, but nice cherry and caramel aromas. A bit of brown sugar and toffee, maybe a slight roast. Too much cardboard for my tastes, though. The flavor is similarly old and oxidized. Prunes, plums, and cherries give a decent fruit character and there is a lot of sugary sweetness to it as well. Still can’t quite escape the cardboard. Dedollewaitor (16543) - Odense, DENMARK - JUL 25, 2010

Bottle shared by Marcus. Pours extremely dark witha a creamy light tan head. Wonderful aromas of lighter dark fruits. Dates? Near full bodied with creamy carbonation. Flavor is mildly sour with dark malt. It’s definitely fruity. Seems like kriek. Extremely tasty. Like a cross between kriek and quad. The cherry comes forth more strongly with time. Surprising. Amazing. Wonderful. Ratman197 (15616) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - NOV 26, 2009
750 ml corked and caged bottle poured a clear dark reddish brown with a large lasting tan head. Aromas of sour cherry, dark chocolate, carmel, plum, light leather, light spice and a hint of funk. Palate was medium to full bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of dark chocolate, sour cherry, carmel, horseblanket, plum, leather and brown sugar with a smooth dry lingering tart funky finish. Very tasty beer I’ll have to score a couple more for the celler. Tmoney99 (15119) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - DEC 25, 2009
Bottle from Belmont Party. Poured clear reddish brown color with a large frothy brown head that was mostly lasting with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy chocolate, banana and soft cherry aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy complex sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met by a complex good beer.
