COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brews up to april 2017 are brewed by Troost. Later samples are brewed on location

Thick creamy light brown head stayed well on a near black still body. Licourice, dark berry & smoky aroma. Medium to full bodied, silky in the mouth with a slight tingle on the back & clean finish. Bitter berry, brown sugar, malt, coffee & peach tastes with smoke hints with a tangy citrus finish.

Bottle, Beer52. Deep black colour, off white foam. Nice thick rich stout, malty, roasted, cocoa, bitter and sweet malts, hop bitterness about right, earthy. Long finish. Good old school stout.

ianwelby (1646) - SCOTLAND - FEB 17, 2018
Beer52 bottle. Black, tan head. This doesn't do anything special at all, it's what you'd expect and hope for from a strong stout. Rich, earthy malt, coffee, chocolate and a dash if fruit just to cut through that a bit. But it's really nice. Not one I'd necessarily remember and the strength demands that I couldn't drink loads of it but I'd want to.
