UPDATED: JUN 4, 2017 Rerate: Tap @ Poesiat & Kater, 15 cl sample. Dark brown color, medium frothy head. Aroma of roasty malts, dark choc and bit licorice. Smooth roasty bitterness, bit creamy choc, slight mocha sweetness. All very nicely balanced and very flavorful. What a difference tap vs bottle can make here.

On tap at the brewpub. Black colour, beige head. Aroma hard-roasted malts, black liquorice, caramel, light fruity, tiny hint of peat, light metallic/brown sugar, leather. Flavour is sweet, caramel, hard-roasted malts, figs, some coffee, bitter roast finish. Medium bodied. Nice, but de Schans version is still by far the best imho.
