Bottle, Beer52. Deep black colour, off white foam. Nice thick rich stout, malty, roasted, cocoa, bitter and sweet malts, hop bitterness about right, earthy. Long finish. Good old school stout. panda_brewmaster (231) - Bournemouth, Dorset, ENGLAND - FEB 17, 2018
UPDATED: FEB 17, 2018 Weak aroma of roasted malts. Full body and rich mouthfeel. Taste is bitter with roasted malts and sweet espresso. Bitter roasty aftertaste. ianwelby (1591) - SCOTLAND - FEB 17, 2018
Beer52 bottle. Black, tan head. This doesn't do anything special at all, it's what you'd expect and hope for from a strong stout. Rich, earthy malt, coffee, chocolate and a dash if fruit just to cut through that a bit. But it's really nice. Not one I'd necessarily remember and the strength demands that I couldn't drink loads of it but I'd want to. jamasaurusrex (8) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - FEB 14, 2018 does not count

Bottle. Color: Black, dense light brown head. Taste: Dark roasted malt, espresso, quite hopbitter, lightly sweet, earthy. Notes of liquorice. Grassy, resinous hop. Dry mouthfeel at long lasting finish. Above medium body, just below average carbonation. Bosskie (985) - NETHERLANDS - NOV 28, 2017
Pitch black weak white head.
Smell is coffee chocolate, quite smooth, with a subtle biscuit graininess. Liquorice, apples. Marmalade.
Taste is full and smooth with well balanced bitter sweetness. Unexpected peel astringency mixed with ash. Finish is strongly astringent, with pine and resin. PotjeBier (3913) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - NOV 18, 2017

0.33 l bottle from 'Bierhuys', 7.1% abv, bb date not readable anymore. Pitch black with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty aroma of milk chocolate, hazelnut, licorice, vanilla and some coffee. Quite sweet, malty, moderately roasty taste of dark chocolate, licorice, coffee, some hazelnut, a touch of raisins and traces of vanilla, followed by a short, moderately roasty-bitter, slightly earthy-dry finish. Medium to full body, slightly creamy and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Quite nice but not the best stout at that abv, almost like liquid licorice, too much yeast character as well. PeatyPete (1115) - NETHERLANDS - AUG 12, 2017
UPDATED: AUG 12, 2017 Black colour with mocca-coulered head. Aroma fruity, malty and a bit soy sauce. Taste roasted malt and dark chocolate.
