Aromas of banana bread that pours nice copper colour. Malt flavours predominate, very little bitterness to match but rather easy drinking all the same. Cheers!

On tap. Pours a dark copper color with light head. Aromas of corn, very light burnt sugar, and malt. Flavours are similar with addition notes of sourdough. Quite unimpressive.

solidfunk (8838) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - MAY 8, 2013
Pretty underwhelming pale ale. Smells like almost nothing with a faint taste of malt. Has some well-disguised hops that comes through a little on final aroma. Pours pale orange with some lacing, a little head. Finishes a little sour. Average carbonation. Sample at brewery.

On tap. Pale amber with goldish tint. Caramel and mild spice aroma (think salt and pepper), a bit doughy. Mid-range bitterness with sweet, fruity/floral finish. Light-medium body, slightly creamy, average carbonation. Not long ago this was the only local alternative to the big brewers you would find on tap at most Victoria pubs. Smooth and sessionable, I admit I may have given this bonus points out of sheer nostalgia.

RumRunner101 (918) - Alberta, CANADA - JUL 13, 2012
On tap. Pours amber with a diminishing white head and decent retention. Aroma is caramel, light hops. There’s a ton of caramel flavour in the body which lingers through to the finish, with some other bready/biscuity flavours. A little bit of hop presence to cut the sweetness. Quite boring and unimpressive.

WheatKing (1338) - Phnom Penh, CAMBODIA - MAY 31, 2012
I’d love to give this points for hometown pride, but can’t. I don’t like this. The commercial description claims it’s bronze and yep that was the strongest flavour for me -- like licking bronze. This is too weak in flavour and aroma otherwise, surprised it’s 5%.

reebtogi (6235) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - OCT 3, 2011
Poured a copper color with white head settling to spots of lacing. Aroma of caramel malts and some hops. Taste is malty sweet with a touch of hoppy bitterness in the end. A decent pale ale.

asheft (3062) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 27, 2011
[bottle] Weak aroma of spicy caramel and detectable hops. Clear red-copper. Flavor is quite bland with only a touch of caramel and a faint fruity finish. Balance towards bitter. Light body, medium carbonation, slightly tangy, bitter finish.

Lagerboy (2189) - British Columbia, CANADA - APR 28, 2011
Nice sentiment on the can, nice easy drinking copper pale inside the can... smooth and clean, caramel malts with some toffee, lightly hopped. Lagerboy friendly.
