Very hoppy, although not at IPA levels. Weak carbonation, bitter aftertaste. Tastes good and is drinkable. I liked it.

bulldogops (2726) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 11, 2009
On tap @ Howard Johnson (by the Commonwealth Pool). Clear amber pour with a moderate white head, medium retention. Aroma is sweet, fruity, and malts. Taste is lightly hopped, malts, and mild sweet citrus (orange?). Smooth, medium bodied, and quite good.

3.1
VertBaconStrips (2395) - Blerkablerka, VENEZUELA - JUN 6, 2009
UPDATED: APR 29, 2014 Apr 29, 2014 - fresher and better. 650ml bottle from Penticton. Less sweet, more tasty malts, well done and I’m surprised how much I’m enjoying this.

Crystal clear and amber, Piper’s dumped into a glass produces less than expected white head and pretty much goes average all the way. Aromas of sweet malts, slightly floral hops and maybe a metallic feel (not sure). Taste is pretty standard as well with decent malts on the sweet side, weak spicy hops and a touch of overripe orange fruit (not oranges though). Fairly smooth beer, medium bodied with a weak bitter finish.

fiulijn (21022) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 7, 2008
Draught at Vancouver airport lounge
Amber color. It has a nice hoppy aroma, but the flavor is more common. Still, one of the few interesting beers at airport lounges.

2.6

On tap at Maple Leaf Lounge, Vancouver Airport. Nice amber body with low carbonation and a thin off-white creamy head. Thin malty/hoppy aroma with light roasty hints. Decent hoppy taste with malty notes. Ends with a bad grassy/metallic aftertaste.
