bottle...tried this one a while back while golfing on the island...he impressed me...real good quality pale ale...mildly hopped, real clear too....great taste and that matters especially with the bad burger I had.... patrick767 (4063) - fort wayne, Indiana, USA - SEP 28, 2006
draft, also at some bar in Victoria - Pours copper with a thin, fading head. The aroma has some light malt and hops. The taste is caramel malts and pretty light hops for the style. It was on the thin side, though not too bad. There are plenty of better beers around. AcctError10127 (467) - coquitlam, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 13, 2006
On tap in some bar in Victoria. Light amber colour with a thin head. A touch of sweet maltiness in the nose and not much else. The flavour is lacking in hops for a pale ale and is a bit watery. However it was free! bitter (1136) - Henderson, Nevada, USA - AUG 22, 2006
on draft at the stickey wicket. poured copper clear, little to no head. a below hopped pale ale but average to better for the area. thin and watery. Trev (2023) - Lakeville, Minnesota, USA - AUG 13, 2006
Bottle: Pours a dark gold with a med. frothy white head.
Aroma is honey-ish malt sweetness. Too faint slightly fruity hop.
Flavour is quite malty, tin tasting bitterness. Not one of my preferred regional pales.

Can. Golden orange with a very small frothy white head. Weak malt aroma, some caramel but not much else. Flavours are OK: Caramel, some fruitiness and a bit of metallic after taste. Probably would be better on tap. OKBeer (1171) - Halifax, Nova Scotia, CANADA - APR 23, 2006
Can. Goldne amber colour with a frothy, off-white head. Faint, light fruity and piny hop aroma. Light caramel and fruit, a bit of metallic flavour. Light bodied and slightly watery. jercraigs (10651) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 23, 2006
Can. Golden amber body with a small white head. Lighty buttery/caramel aroma. Rough astringent harshness over dilute malt. Average to thin palate. SledgeJr (3577) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - APR 9, 2006
On tap at the Palace Hotel bar. Amber with an off-white head. Aroma of mild citrus and floral hops. Flavor is a fairly standard pale ale with noticeable calcium sulfate. OK beer. omhper (25375) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - FEB 24, 2006
Bottled. Clear pale amber. Light aroma of paper and grass. Sweetish and lightly appley with clean mouthfeel. Medium bitterness. Subtle but without finesse.
