330 ml bottle from Systembolaget. Pours a clear mahogany with light to moderate head. Aromas of aged oak, dry cognac/brandy, a little candi sugar, and grape skins. Flavors of sweet and sour: sweet fruits and raisins, and tart berries and grapes; all with a nice vinous/vinegary oaky presence. Beautiful. I hope this will be repeated!

Nische (2523) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - OCT 30, 2017
Bottle from SB. Pours clear, deep, reddish amber. Acetic vinegar, winegum, red berries, oak and balanced tartness. Slightly puckering, but dangerously drinkable.

Grumlig rödbrun öl med ett mycket lätt skum. Doft och smak av mogna bär och frukter, lätt funkighet, ekfat och en balanserad syrlighet. Torr munkänsla.

Bottle from Merchants. Aroma is sour, wood, cherries, brett, sugary, skins, decent. Appearance is amber, light tan head, clear. Taste is pretty sour, woody, cherries, dry, very tart, sugary woodiness comes back at the end. Mouthfeel is light to medium body, light crisp carbonation, super sour woody cherry aftertaste. Overall, I've had worse, this isn't bad at all.

Hopmaestro (1753) - Örebro, SWEDEN - OCT 16, 2017
Aroma is funky sourness with cherries up front and light wood. Taste is puckering red tart berries, young lemon fruit, balsamico and leads to that same vinegar like taste as the original has. This one is a tad more rounded though. I'm sorry, I know that this is a top of the line Flanders Red, but I can't really find the awesomeness here. It's OK in my book, and interesting enough to at least finish it.

Flaska systembolaget. Bärnstensfärgad vätska. Vinös doft. Syrliga bär, fat, trä, jordkällare och citron. Syrlig, mustig och lite kryddig smak. Röda bär, jäst, fay och moserande vin. Jordig och syrlig.

330ml bottle. Clear deep red-brown with small white head. Aroma is red berries, cherry, raspberry, slight balsamic vinegar and oak. Taste is tart and acidic with red berries, grapes, cherry and wood. Medium mouthfeel, light to medium carbonation and mostly acidic grape aftertaste matched by some red berry sweetness.
