On tap at the Vandemill Cider Mill. Cider colored with no head. Aroma of honey, apples and oak. Taste is mainly of apples but some of the barrel comes through with oaky and mild vanilla notes. Lights spices, mild honey and a dry and tart finish. rumproasts (5359) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - MAR 3, 2013

Vander Mill Founders Keepers. Pours a clear deep gold with no head whatsoever. Aroma has a nice dry apple note with a hint of tartness, dry honey and barrel. Flavor starts slightly sweet with honey but quickly becomes tart with a nice touch of barrel in the after taste. jstraw (1967) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 4, 2013
Draft at Jerry’s. Aged in Founders Backwoods Bastard barrels - pale yellow with scant, white head / Elegant nose of fermented red apple and spirit barrel / Medium body, only lightly sweet, beautiful balance with a touch of heat on the finish / Clean, stylish flavors of fermented red apple, light resin, and spirit barrel / A beauty, to rival the Europeans.
