Refrigerated 76 cl brown bottle poured into a snifter. Clear golden, wood aroma, medium body, and a little carbonation. Taste is wood, honey, and some chocolate. blackflag321 (689) - Lansing, Michigan, USA - NOV 8, 2016
Shared bomber. Clean, shiney light gold. This is the best "cider" I have experienced. Granted, I’ve had few because I’ve been of the opinion that they pretty much taste the same-- like hard cider. Not this one. Oak character. Hints, just hints of bourbon. Apple and honey, but not the tart fruity character of apple nor the sweet stickiness of honey. Everything balanced nicely. Definitely a "buy again." jtclockwork (16581) - , New Jersey, USA - JUN 22, 2016

Bottle. Orange pour with no head. Light honey, mild fruit, sweet aromas. Flavors are honey, fruit and oak notes. Rudzud (44) - Cherry Valley, Massachusetts, USA - FEB 18, 2016

Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a crystal clear honey hue with no head. Aromas of nice honey, faint apples, light chocolate. The taste is similar to the nose. Like chocolate covered apples. Nice honey sweetness. Rather tasty with a good finish.

22oz bomber- Pours a golden caramel. Musty apple with some hints of raisin. Pretty still. The barrel-aged flavor overwhelms the apple, but has a refreshing sour note at the end. Slightly syrupy in texture njager246 (697) - grand rapids, Michigan, USA - MAY 7, 2015
Old-aroma of sour apples, vanilla and bourbon, fairly thick for a cider, not usually my style, but pretty darn good SpongeRuiner (1114) - Michigan, USA - JAN 3, 2015
Pours a clear amber color with some small bubbles that rise to the top. A bright apple nose with a spiced background. A little perfumey. A crisp tart apple flavor upfront. The oak barrel flavor comes in about midway through. It immediately cuts down any over sweet flavor a typical cider would have at this point. Just ever so slightly chocolately. A dry sweet finish. A very nice cider. Towards the top for me especially considering the drinkable level. Most better end ciders are decent until halfway through then it’s just too sweet and sugary. Makes me want a beer. This one doesn’t do that. Good stuff. drowland (8676) - Georgia, USA - DEC 19, 2014
12/19/14. 750mL bottle from the Moline Hy Vee. Clear golden pour, looks fine for a BA cider. Interesting aroma, the barrel pops through a surprisingly large amount, otherwise some tart apple characteristics. Barrel, wood, vanilla in the flavor as well, combines with tart apples and yeast which is nice but the vanilla and cidery aspects give me a sense of butter that is slightly off putting. Not bad, interesting. zach8270 (4022) - Henrietta, New York, USA - DEC 11, 2014
(bottle - 750 ml) Clear orange with a thin white head. Mildly sweet apple aroma with a nice tart base and then a good strong sweetness from the barrel aging. Dry and tart apple flavor with a very strong hint of the barrel and the stout within it. Sweet with a good amount of vanilla.
