Medium aroma of malts, caramel, wood, chocolate, mocha, roasted malts and coffee.
Opaque black beer with a slight brown head.
Starts medium/heavy sweet with malts, caramel, wood, chocolate and mocha; ends slightly bitter and dry with roasted malts and coffee.
This beer is intense, complex and balanced. Great sweet addition to an otherwise very roasted beer. Nice dash of coffee at the end as well. Perfect appearance and a great palate as well, but the aroma could have been stronger.
Bottle from Mitra Bunnik, fles 500/377 BB End 2019, 33 cl sample. Dark color, short frothy head. Aroma of bubblegummy Brett, strawberry, bit booze. Leathery, bit sweet, some roast. Dont get any coffee, and was expecting more whisky, but it has become a Brett porter. 33cl bottle (60/500) at home from Utrechtse Bierbrouwers Festival 2017.
Nose is whiskey, mild roasted coffee.
Body is black, head is very small, beige, creamy, average lasting, good lacing.
Aroma is cherry, bonbon, chocolate liquor, cocoa, mild roasted coffee, dried fruits.
Light to medium sweet, medium to heavy bitter, light to medium fruity sour.
Finish is long lasting fruity chocolate medium bitter, light sour, light alcohol sour, medium alcohol warmth.
Full body, oily sticky texture, nearly flat carbonation.
Not that heavy dessert beer, very tasty, quite strong flavor, well balanced, great one.
