vipinvelp (4555) - Velp, NETHERLANDS - APR 9, 2017
Black, brown lacing foam head. Nice hoppy aroma and bitter in taste. Light coffee tones. (Velp 201704)

TtV (472) - Nijmegen, NETHERLANDS - DEC 4, 2016
Bottle 33cl. Ink black, no head. Just a few off white bubbles. Little aroma, some mild grain hints. The taste is surprisingly mild and develops a pleasant bitterness in the aftertaste.

uckelman (813) - Durham, ENGLAND - OCT 15, 2016
Pours opaque, very dark brown. Small, creamy tan head. Strong coffee grounds aroma. Flavor is mostly bitter and a little sour. Roasty and cocoa notes on the finish.

2.9
sarauckelman (550) - Durham, Durham, ENGLAND - OCT 15, 2016
Dark black with a bit of a dark tan head with multi-sized bubbles. Strong, hoppy, and slightly ashy bitter flavor; the aroma is also almost a bit ashy/smokey. The palate is a bit harsh.

3.8
MelvinKalksma (1770) - NETHERLANDS - AUG 1, 2016

Aroma:

Medium aroma of malts, caramel, chocolate, pine, roasted malts and hops.

Appearance:

Opaque black beer with slight yeast and with a slight/medium beige/brown head.

Taste/Palate:

Starts medium sweet with malts, caramel, chocolate and pine; ends slightly bitter and dry with roasted malts and hops.

Overall:

This beer is rather intense, complex and balanced. Both the aroma and the flavour are not very intense. Slightly watery to be fair, and the palate suffers thanks to this, but very tasty nonetheless.

anstei (2673) - Zurich, SWITZERLAND - JUL 11, 2016
Bottle. Incredibly bitter and roasted, yet really not so much hops. Would be able to pass as a stout. Liquorice, some coffee. Lively carbonation, turns rather soft on the palate.

skortila (5996) - Baarn, NETHERLANDS - JUL 9, 2016
Bottled. Full 33cl sample. The aroma has light toffee, more citrus. Almost black coloured beer with a medium, beige head. The taste is moderate bitter with citrus, some toast, light chocolate. Very nice.

adamnowek (3415) - Brussels, BELGIUM - JUL 4, 2016
Not super dark; somewhere between your average porter and a cola. Reasonably large head. Aroma is chocolate cake, toasted malt, and sea salt. Taste is much of the same, but moving in the direction of the cake.

Bastante buena. Cuerpo medio tirando a alto. Poco gas. Alcohol bien integrado. Tiene un sabor tostado al final.
