Pale gold. Grassy hop aroma, with a delicate spiciness. The hop doesn’t show up much on the palate (or even the nose unless it’s really fresh). It’s a fairly thin beer, light with vague hop and a little grainy sourness in the finish. Uneventful, serviceable lager.

Courtesy of Jaghana. Dorée claire, très légère mousse. Nez malté céréales glucose. Gout malté céréales, sucre d’orge, note legere herbeuse. Corps moyen sans carbo. Fin legerement douce. Meilleure qu’attendue...

Can 33cl brought from new Caledonia by Thierry many thanks, a clear yellow beer with good head. Nose is very low on grain. Aroma is on grain, slightly vegetal, very watery, barley sugar finish. Body is very low and boring, light caramel, poor but happy to have one new country !

Slightly sweet. Fresh thin light head. Little grassy notes. Nice back yard beer.

UPDATED: AUG 7, 2017 Weak White head and a golden yellow body. There's a sweet black licorice smell to it. The taste is fine but not exceptional. It's bubbly on the palette with a slight metallic finish. Worth drinking to get Kenya on the list.

330ml can into schooner glass, courtesy of Bitterlady. Smells like burnt cardboard and stale bread. Crystal clear golden amber with thin white head. Lightly carbonated. Medium body, taste is mildly bitter, slight zing. Finish is bubblegum sweet turning to a lingering maltiness. Probably too sweet to be really easy-drinking but ice cold in Port Vila, it will do the job. Gets more vegetal as it warms.

UPDATED: NOV 7, 2016 330ml can and bottles. Pours lager colour with a thick white head. Aroma is peach and lemon. Flavour is very peachy, plenty of citrus and only a touch of the boiled vegetable notes that so often pop up in the style, and even then only when it warms. After a week of drinking a lot of this, I feel safe in making a decisive judgement. It’s not a good beer, certainly by the standards of this site. However, you shouldn’t come to Vanuatu for the beer, and you can have much worse beer experiences than a few cold Tuskers by the pool at the end of a long day in the sun. It’s really not too bad.

Bottle at Erakor Island Resort, Vanuatu, August 2014. Clear light golden with a white head. Very thin and boring with cardboard, bread and some boiled vegetables. Actually really awful.
