Small white head. Hazy deep yellow body. Herbal mealy floral aroma. Dry-sweet mealy pastry taste with fruity notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish minty floral aftertaste with bready mealy notes. Vague citric background, too. Not much flavour, but pleasant and easy to drink. (0.5l draft at Alynas, Vilnius.)

3fourths (9386) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JUN 2, 2013
Draft at Alynas in Vilnius.
Hazy light orange body with a small head, quickly dying.
Chicken nugget breading / fried chicken aroma.
Off-brand orange marmalade.
Urine-soaked pet bedding.
Heavy burnt popcorn - no, no no, it’s actually popcorn-flavored jelly beans...
Medium-light body.
Silky, fine, creamy carbonation.
Limp, flabby, watery body.
Drying finish with low bitterness.
Popcorn / diacetyl, raw grains, fried breading, wet animal hair.

In short: A clean blonde lager with no real personality. Boringly easy to drink
How: Directly from the conditioning tank during our brewery visit.
The look: Partly cloudy blonde body topped by a large white head with good retention
In long: Nose has some grassy/herbaceous hops over fresh cereals. Taste is ultra-uber-clean, slightly honeyed cereals, oily white bread, light presence of herbaceous hops. Not much bitterness to speak of, abrupt finish leaving only a light honey after-taste. No Lithuanian character to be found here, no anything character to be found here, this is an entry-level clean blond lager like you can find in many pubs of many countries. Very easy to drink, very forgettable. An ordinary beer during a beer trip that was anything but ordinary, a beer consumed following a near death experience, two hours between two beer stop.

(Rating #4239)

My Bottom Line:
This polished blond lager is the showcase for subtly toasted malts and light herbal hops for a balanced and quenching experience.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A creamy head of foam tops the hazy yellow gold.
-This one doesn’t really bear the Lithuanian identity like most brews in the eastern half of the country.
-I’m afraid this is not really memorable. It’s professional alright, but it’s too generic to stand out in this country full of idiosyncratic brews.
-The cereal flavors appear more clearly than in their Tamsus.

From the conditioning tank at the brewery.

5+ Fruity aroma, maybe apple, a touch lactic.
3 cloudy orange, brief head.
5 simple light grains, a touch minerally, chalky even. Milky too.
2 Watery and fizzy. Pretty empty finish.
10 Nothing wrong /per se/, but I think it’s a bit thin.
Rerate: From lagering vessel at Vasaknu Dvaro (5:3:5:3:9=2.5)
Under pressure through the nozzle, this emerged as a pint of milk! Was smooth and clean, just a touch of esters to make it interesting. Fuller in the mouth than before, but still a rather unexciting lager even if well made. However, this sample was COLD, and it was snowy outside, I can imagine giving this more points in summer time.
