Bottle. Pours a very dark brown, almost black beer with a decent sized, creamy beige head on top. Aroma is rather malty, sugary with a big yeasty presence. Flavour is slightly acidic, definitely showing age. Malty, sweet aftertaste. Light carbonation. Did not age very well, this bottle is over two years past it’s best before date, so that figures. Used to be much better, I’m sure. OllieBBommel (1531) - NETHERLANDS - AUG 29, 2013

(from backlog). Head: beige foam. Colour: clear, dark brown. Aroma: roasted malt, chocolate. Taste: medium bitter sweet. Palate: medium bittersweet finish with dried fruit. moderate carbonation. Overall: very drinkable
Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a dark mahogany with a thin off white head and loads of life. It was a real gusher I have to say. The flavour is medium sour with lots of dry yeast and acid on the palate. Not a favourite. zvikar (6349) - Ramat Gan, ISRAEL - APR 17, 2013

Naama, Muddy brown with a beige head. Sourish aroma with yeast, some stale chocolate and fruity notes. Sourish flavor with malt, some fruitiness and light roastiness. Light to medium-bodied, over-carbonated. Spoiled. kiwianer (3428) - Otorohanga, NEW ZEALAND - JUL 5, 2012
The head is robust, the body black. It smells roasty a bit chocolat. darkmalty. The taste is full bodied, darkmalty, chocolate-tasty, aromatic. In the aftertaste roasty, sweet-fruity, almost cherry. This is a very nice Schwarzbier! 13/12/13/12/13/13 sic1314 (4775) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - JUN 15, 2012
Bearable brown ale. Not bad, not great. Caramel-ish aroma, not much of a mouthfeel. Not worth a second bottle. ads135 (4923) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - JUN 13, 2012
A bit watery, carbonated, dark brown appearance. Toffee, chocolate, and licorice flavors. Tried with Angela and her sisters in Amsterdam in 2012. Dixonian (1562) - Plano, Texas, USA - FEB 29, 2012
Bottle thanks to bu11zeye.
Reddish brown pour with some off-white head. Aromas of Belgian yeast, coffee, and a bit of chocolate. More chocolate in the flavor with a chalky mouthfeel.
