UPDATED: FEB 22, 2017 Nitro draft at Bru Craft. Nearly opaque dark brown/black pour with a thick khaki head. Some definite roastiness to it but ultimately feels more chocolate liquorice. Molasses. Pecan pie. Barley. Glossy cappuccino. Vanilla, but not overly creamy. Hints of peat, celeriac and blackberry.

On nitro at brew pub. Served in high stemmed glass. Thick head, some lacing. Head is very light tan in color. Beer is almoat black. Aroma is weak, maybe dampened by thick nitro head. Some light roasted malts. Taste is lightly sweet, lightly bitter. Light notes of chocolate, and roasted malts. Medium bodied beer with soft carbonation. Nitro and oatmeal combo really make for a smooth creamy beer. Over all a solid oatmeal stout.

A dense, dark beige head of moderate size forms over an unclear, dark brown to amber body. Almost cola-ish aroma, with a roasted touch and some dried fruits. Rather boring, and that goes for the flavor too. Its quite dry on the palate, with a soft carbonation. Medium to full body. Roasted malts, coffee and dried fruits in the flavor, with some bitterness. Rather boring, but at least its flawless and easy drinkable. 140829
