Vedett, a blond, light, well hopped premium beer with 5.2% alcohol content, is the cult Duvel Moortgat beer today: following its birth in 1945, it quickly acquired fame and recognition within an intimate circle of insiders in the Antwerp-Brussels region. But do not think for a moment that this oldtimer is thinking about retirement, quite the contrary. For the past years, Vedett has been going through a second childhood in a number of trendy cafés located mainly in big cities. The secret of its charm? A retro-look, a capricious taste, Vedett-allure and the "golden touch" of the brewery. These past years, the brewery armed Vedett with an innovative, hip, young and slightly absurd image. A successful strategy, especially with the youth: Right now, you'll find Vedett in Belgian Delhaize supermarkets and most Flemish cities as well as in Brussels. And the follow-up to the story? You can read it at www.vedett.com.

Goryczka to kolejny plus, długa i intensywna, nieco trawiasta. Wysycenie wysokie.

Bottle from de Bierschuur in Poppel. The beer is clear light yellow colored and has a large and stable white head, with nice carbonation. The aroma is malty and sweet and has also has notes of grass, yeast, citrus, hops and honey. The taste is quite dry in the mouth, but with a hint of lemon has a wonderfully fresh character. Reasonable short finish and a little dry at the end.

330ml bottle. Clear pale yellow colour with a one-two finger white head, surprisingly good retention and lacing. Aroma: malt. Taste: light sweet malt, faint grassy hops, slight bitterness/metallic note. Thin/watery body, soft carbonation. Not bad... nice to see a lager that actually has a decent head and retains it, but as for the taste there’s nothing memorable about it.

Robe blonde claire, mousse peu persistante. Nez sur le malt et le houblon, assez classique. Bouche fraîche, amère, fine bulle, assez persistante pour une Lager. Agréable bière de soif

Bottle. Hazy yellow white head. Malt aroma, sweet malt flavour, metallic notes, fizzy carbonation, very bad

Bottle of 33cl, in a Tulip glass; from the fridge. Very nice pils, with a lot of tastes (malt, hop), woaw. We’re in front of a blond pils beer, with a fuzzy white head. The aroma is malt, and taste is more hoppy. Great beer.

Bottle at home. Clear yellow colour. Light hoppy beer. Some sweet malt. Easy drinking. Thin and light flavoured.

Bue 6 mois avant DLC chez Ludo avec Jacky. Blonde a epais col de mousse a grosses bulles et bonne tenue. Carbo nulle. Arome de houblons frais tres present. Aqueuse en bouche. Finale amere et un peu trop acide. Houblons fait son boulot.

Maakun (5370) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - SEP 7, 2016
Clear golden with fluffy white head. Grass and some marijuana up front, soft bitter herbs, light pils malts, a bit chalky, there’s some light flowers and a touch of kumquats, but mostly pils malts and grassy hops. Hint of metal in the finish. Under medium sweet and medium bitter. Under medium bodied with crisp feel. Seems like a decent German pils to me.
