The inventors of Indian Pale Ale may have originally added extra hops to help it survive the long voyage to India. But we just do it for the taste! Every drop as thirst-quenching as the last, Vedett IPA offers an explosion of flavoursome bitterness that increases with intensity towards the finish, tempered by an unparalleled velvety smoothness resulting in a very accessible taste. Fresh, fruity and floral notes give way to touches of caramel sweetness, while its superb, lingering aftertaste continues to tantalise the tastebuds long after. Here’s to a great-tasting, refreshing beer!

Heidbummer (1044) - SCOTLAND - FEB 8, 2018
Bottle. Pours slightly hazy amber gold, lacy white head. Dry hoppy aroma, some citrus, slightly metallic. More of that on the taste, Slightly "industrial" with not a lot of depth. M\ore a hoppy lager than IPA, but OK.

UPDATED: FEB 5, 2018 Bottle from Tesco. Clean golden with a fine tight white head that's leaving nice lacework. Smooth and malty with a lovely citrus bite that lingers long on the tongue, a nice beer!

To me this is a regular pint, far from degustation, with a bit of the qualities of an ipa. In the aroma there is a bit of fruitiness but the grain and yeast are stronger. The look is clear golden with a not lasting head. Taste has a bit of hop-fruitiness again, but not much bitterness. Instead again the grain and a bit of yeast. It's a regular beer as Heineken, Stella and Jupiler are but compared to those this would be my favourite.

Not as extraordinary as the label leads me to believe.. piney hop nose, pours a nice colour with strange patchy head. Not a lot of depth to the flavour. Odd aftertaste.

UPDATED: DEC 31, 2017 On tap. Pours clear. Strong citrus/orange aroma. Good IPA for a Belgian Beer, balanced aroma and nice bitterness. For an IPA nothing amazing, but credit to them for bringing the IPA profile to a Belgian style beer.

Bottle at home. Pours amber with high visible carbonation and a bubbly lasting head. Aroma is grass, clean malt Taste is grassy/cereals, sweet finish, slightly yeasty/weisse-y. Good palate, well rounded. A decent base beer let down by unnecessary sweetness - palatable in a pinch.
