The inventors of Indian Pale Ale may have originally added extra hops to help it survive the long voyage to India. But we just do it for the taste! Every drop as thirst-quenching as the last, Vedett IPA offers an explosion of flavoursome bitterness that increases with intensity towards the finish, tempered by an unparalleled velvety smoothness resulting in a very accessible taste. Fresh, fruity and floral notes give way to touches of caramel sweetness, while its superb, lingering aftertaste continues to tantalise the tastebuds long after. Here’s to a great-tasting, refreshing beer!

If you like IPA, this is a very drinkable one. Solid, strong hop taste throughout, but not much else. Smooth enough to have a few more of.

It's got spice. Light golden with a touch of haze. Smooth, hoppiness is subtle by modern standards - but not bad for it. Bit perfumery, citrussy. Not as Extra Ordinary as they want you to believe but a decent effort.

UPDATED: APR 14, 2018 Cor âmbar, espuma boa e persistente. Corpo médio, refescancia alta e aquecimento médio. Aromas cítricos que remetem a laranja. Para meu gosto falta amargor principalmente no retrogosto, porém, vai muito bem em um dia quente com carnes ou aves.

UPDATED: APR 13, 2018 Pleasant but not extraordinary. Tropical flavours but not enough hopping for an IPA. Has a vanilla taste too like on a cola float.

hauxe (1145) - Butzbach, Hesse, GERMANY - APR 6, 2018
Pours orange from the bottle. Foamy, white head that soon fades. Aroma is typical Belgian—full of yeasts and spice. The expected fruity notes are almost an afterthought. Taste is bittersweet, with an uptick in bitterness and warmth at the end. The hoppy bitter undertones and the yeasty sweetness don’t play well together, the brew lacks an overall harmony. Body is medium, carbonation is moderate. Okay.

Draft - Flowery bready sweet notes. Clear gold with a decent white head. Sweet caramel, some more perfume and a light bitterness. A bit sweet for my tastes.

simontomlinson (811) - Blackburn, Lancashire, ENGLAND - APR 1, 2018
Rocky white head sat on a translucent, effervescent, apple juice coloured body. Sweet citrus & tea aroma. Medium bodied, sparkling on the palate & a clean back. Floral tasting with sweet peach, tea, spice, pepper & a spicy finish

bilcho1 (335) - Ruse, BULGARIA - MAR 31, 2018
330ml bottle at a private tasting at Zarazbirachi, Ruse. Pours slightly cloudy with a thin, fast-settling frothy head, heavy lacing but no bead. On the nose, straightforward citrus. In the mouth, softly fizzy with citrus flavours predominated by grapefruit and orange, some underlying caramel malt flavours, medium bitterness leading to a crisp refreshing finish. Overall a solid IPA but nothing extra ordinary.

UPDATED: MAR 26, 2018 33cl from bottle at Ellis Gourmet Burger (Brussels). Light IPA, it feels that its flavour dilutes when gets warm though.

brouwerij De Pilmus (17) - - MAR 23, 2018
UPDATED: MAR 23, 2018 Een populaire IPA maar zeker niet de allerbeste. Wel herkenbaar maar mag gerust meer hop geur en smaak hebben.
