0,5l Flasche.Dunkles Landbier mit toller Schaumkrone. Riecht nach Röstmalzen; schmeckt intensiv nach Röstmalzen. rumproasts (5359) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - MAY 16, 2015
bottle. Brown with one finger head. Malty and very bready. I feel like I’m drinking dough. Very eh. Nutty with a light hop note.

50cl fliptop bb07/2015, forget which Bavarian source. Beautiful red-hued maroni pour. What starts off as slightly sulphuric brownie dough and rural chestnut soil in aroma develops into a rich and confidently grass-hopped Landbier in the richest of traditions, full of creamy substance and nuance: chocolate milkshake tuned to sessionability by near-piney hops, notes of liquorice and stewed maroni - before a drying smokey (open fire) astringency seals it all off. Ordentliches Landbier, kerniger Charakter, fast ein Kellerbier. Herb würzig im Abgang.

500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours clear dark brown, thin off-white head. Aromas of toffee and light herbs. Taste is more of the same. Standard. harrisoni (18578) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - DEC 1, 2014
Bottle from Cotteridge Wines and drunk at home. Clear dark brown cola coloured lasting thin beige head. Brown malty aroma. OK malty lager. It’s fine. Clean, tasty, some spicy hop. Fine. Zlotta (3285) - Hagen / Düsseldorf, GERMANY - NOV 11, 2014
0,5 l bottle from local dursty. Clear, dark amber with sticky, stable tan head. Beautiful! Weak smokey, malty aroma. Really nice, slightly smokey taste of roasted malts, burnt caramel, bread and grains. Good! Medium body, average carbonation, almost creamy mothfeel, crisp bitter finish. This is a really nice landbier. It reminds me a bit of Schlenkerla Märzen. Although it is not that good, it is a nice surprise between all the boring examples of that style. WillemsUrenkel (1875) - Oldenburg, GERMANY - NOV 6, 2014
0,5 l bottle. Pours out clear in a dark amber, light tanned one finger head. Malt on the nose. Taste is toasted malt, low grain, low bitterness, roasted aftertaste, light sweetness. Nearly like a soft bock. Nice one! Bif (2245) - St. Charles, Missouri, USA - NOV 6, 2014
Bottle. Pours a nice mahogany color with a fluffy head that fades to nominal lacing. Aroma of malt, fruit, caramel and bit of nut. Taste of fruit, caramel sweetness and nut. Mild bitterness and the finish is quite dry. Medium body, smooth and flavorful. Enjoyable beer that goes down easy.
