What context are these reviews supposed to be from? The Veldensteiner beer, when in Germany is going to taste a lot better than the Veldensteiner you get in the states. When I drank it in Germany it was the best tasting beer I have ever had. However, I am pretty sure they add preservatives to all export beer since it has to stay fresh longer. This will definitely affect the taste. zach8270 (4022) - Henrietta, New York, USA - JUN 6, 2010
(bottle - 500 ml fliptop) Slightly hazy golden pour with a thick and soapy white head. Sweet and corn-laden aroma at the beginning. Some mild hints of malt and almost no hop balance. Dry and lightly sweet at the start of the flavor. Some stale malts and hay come in next with a very lightly bitter finish. Watery with a distinct corn sweetness. fugitive (2005) - Athens, GREECE - MAY 15, 2010

Random buy - Tasted really old and tired, dusty almost. There was some malt and body to it, but the crisp I expect from a eurolager wasn’t there. Will retry. AmEricanbrew (6878) - Same Trailer, Different Park, Louisiana, USA - APR 1, 2010
