Bottled. A yellow gold coloured lager. The aroma is grassy hops and a little creaminess. The taste is quite smooth and mellow with a bitter lemony hop bite. Crisp and pleasant enough. JaBier (8396) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - APR 19, 2011
Sample at the Veldensteiner tasting at Blacklick Wine & Spirits on 4/8/11. Pours clear yellow with a huge white marshmallow head. Aroma of pilsner malt, lager yeast and crisp noble hops. Sweet malt flavor with lager yeast and crisp hops before a semi-sweet finish. ogivlado (8316) - Zagreb, CROATIA - MAR 25, 2010

Yellow coloured, small airy white head, slight acidic vegetable nose. Sweet malty, slight hoppy and grassy with notes of corn. Short bitterish finish. Boring.
Fra fat på Bolero, Bamberg 12 Okt 14. Strågul. Lavt tett skum. Aroma av malt. Smaken litt metallisk med hint av frukt. Svakt syrlig tørr ettersmak. FROTHINGSLOSH (8291) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 24, 2012
I do not know what it is about these German beers but so many of them have this off flavor that reminds me of artificial grape. This one had a good deal of that. +++ Sampled from a 16.9 oz brown bottle this beer poured a very pale yellow color with a huge soapy white head that lingered and left incredible lacing. The aroma was faintly tart and tangy with notes of lemon, sourdough bread and a touch of artificial grape. The flavor was tangy lemon, artificial grape, sugar and bread. The finish was long and tangy with notes of lemon and grape lingering. Light body. Unimpressive.

Somewhat spongy malt aroma with some bittering hops.
Greenish golden, low fluffy lacing white head.
Sweet crackermalt topped off with a bit bittering hops, light body - nothing exiting.
Light bitterhop finish. BlackHaddock (7957) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - AUG 20, 2014
Bavarian beer night, just me and some bottles on 19th Aug 2014. 500ml flip-top: BBD 4th Mar 2015. Poured into an old SchlossBrau stemmed tulip glass three times. Good clear golden body, clean and bright with a solid and lasting white crown. Semi-sweet nose with a dry taste, this is a good, regular Pilsner with a pleasant feel to it. Nothing out of the ordinary, just a well made, easy to drink, refreshing beer in a style available all over the world. Ernest (7889) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - AUG 24, 2012
Head is initially large, frothy, white, mostly lasting.
Body is medium yellow.
Aroma is lightly malty (grain), lightly hoppy (herbs), with light notes of metal, soap, DMS.
Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately bitter, slightly husky.
Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, slightly metallic.
Starts out on the right foot with a sizable head, but alas, you can’t judge a book by its cover. Grainy, metallic, soapy notes detract from the hop nose, so it ends up smelling pretty industrial. Not much better in the mouth...bland with a husky and metallic aftertaste. Poor. lusikka (7833) - Tampere, FINLAND - FEB 22, 2012
500 ml bottle. BBE 29.08.2012.
Pours a clear golden colour with lazy bubbles and a white head. Aroma of grass, vegetables and light honey. Flavour of grassy hops, hay, honey, vegetables and some light metallic notes. Light bodied, dry mouthfeel and a strong, grassy, bitter finish. Overall a stuffy Pils with some disturbing vegetable notes.
