Pours out of the bottle in a clear golden colour with low head and crisp body. Aroma of hops and grass with some citrus hints. Taste of hops, grass, flowers, grains and bread. Citrus-grainy finish. Very refreshing and easy to drink: Nice one! AmEricanbrew (6877) - Same Trailer, Different Park, Louisiana, USA - MAR 26, 2010
Brilliant golden color/ lingering white head. Sweet grainy pils malt, spicy hop aromas. medium body. Spicy hop, earthy grainy pils malt flavors. Easy drinking. mansquito (6815) - Nueva York, New York, USA - JUN 27, 2010
American Beer Distro ($4): Pours a pale gold with a head that is as good as a German pilsener typically has. Aroma of grassy German hops. Taste is somewhat bitter, but only as much as the style gets and even less so. There is a veritable malt backbone, as thin as it might be. Very German, refreshing and nice. Oh how I love pilseners. Patrickctenchi (6695) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - AUG 18, 2013
Hazy, light gold with a frothy white head.
Lemon, floral aroma.
Taste is a floral bitter....and little else.
Musty, thin....maybe a little old.
Not exactly pleasant. kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 14, 2008
500 ml bottle. Pours a a clear straw yellow body with a nice two finger fizzy white head that slowly gained density. The nose is grassy hops with crusty bread pils malt and just a slight tinge of sulfur. Crisp flavor with a good bit of grassy hops and light bready maltiness. A bit of a carbonic bite on the finish and some lingering light bitterness. Light bodied and crisp with sturdy biting carbonation. Overall, this was a damn decent German Pilsener. So far 2 for 2 from these guys. At just a buck a bottle, it looks like I’m going to have a very Veldensteiner summer!

500 ml swing cap bottle. Poured a hazy gold body with a fuller dense off white tight foamy head that leaves gobs of lace up and down my DFH goblet. Aroma sadly isn’t that great, notes of wet bran flakes, old raisins, dough, bad grapes, walnut and date oatmeal. Medium bodied with very soft to almost nonexistant carbonation, sweet aftertaste. Flavor is on the sweet malty side with notes of dates, bad raisins, old dough, stamp glue, figs. Meh.....not something I would buy again, and I paid to see Star Wars The Phantom Menace twice. jaghana (6230) - Strasbourg (Alsace), FRANCE - JUN 16, 2014
Bottle 50cl, a clear yellow beer with medium head. Nose is slightly vegetable like. Aroma is on dry malt, light toasted malt, sweet, good bitterness that gives a very feeling at the finish. Correct pilsener. kappldav123 (6131) - GERMANY - FEB 19, 2016
Bottle looks simple but really good. Beer in the glass zippy, small head. Starts mild, malty, not too dry. Light hoppy background. Some metallically hints. Finish well balanced, still mild. Average. ganache (6037) - New Jersey, USA - MAY 18, 2013
Swing-top bottle. Sweet, lemon and chalk nose, there’s a really pleasant floral and ländlich aspect to the yeast, a little hard for me to get at, but it reminds me more of Zwickl and Landbier. Pours a sickly brown-golden with a dense, creamy and lacing bright white head. Taste is almost sickly sweet and herbal, again pushing toward vegetal character, chalky and slightly grainy water and malt, some yeast. Dusty, husky, and mealy, with a character somewhere between liquified old library book pages and the rotted-out glue that once bound them. Crisp light-medium body, does refresh but is sure to raise the eyebrows.
