Bottled, thanks oh6gdx! Hazy nut brown, small creamy head. Mild salami smoke aroma. Mid sweet with medium body and soft mouthfeel. Smoked meat and licorice, mixed with sugar and dough. Fairly low bitterness. Nice mid-intensity rauchbier, on the sweeter side.

Swing-top by 09.05.12. Nose is smoky but not overdone, and there are also notes of roast coming out; at this point, I’m reminded less of Bamberg’s most famous hammy beechwood smoke, and more of chocolate and anise, though in small dose. Deep blood color and a soapy tan head. Taste is semi-sweet with smoke and fruit, light wood. Slick medium body. The smoke lingering in the aftertaste is gentle and refined, and despite a general lack of carbonation (quite flat, actually), there’s nothing dull here! Mild citrus, sprites, and an engaging old-timers feel.

0.5l bottle from Bavaria. Pours amber, beware it’s in unfiltered if you don’t like sediment! Malt and smoke nose with hints of old wine, rich body with developing dry smokiness. Tasty.

swing top bottle 500ml. -from Sörspecialista.hu, Budapest.
Nice amber coloured, small off-white head, pleasant smoked nose. Mild roasted and very pleasant smoked with light panceta notes. Slight sourish and dry finish. All in all nice beer.

Bottle courtesy of and shared with ogivlado (thanks!)
Poured a bronze brown-amber body with an off white head that went away slowly. Plastic smoked cheese nose, more of the same in the taste, backed with a crappy bitterish-acidic hopiness. Sorta dull. A nice smoked actually but ruined by the sourness. Ah well.

In Ordnung. Test vom 11.9.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,10,11,11,11,11
