rosenbergh (11532) - Tampere, FINLAND - APR 26, 2011
500 ml bottle. From mein-biershop.de.
Dark brown colour with small off-white head. Strong aroma of smoked ham, smoke and malt. Flavour is smokey, malty with mild roastedness, some hops and tasty maltiness. Really good Rauchbier.

joergen (28142) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - FEB 5, 2011
Bottle at Sune. Clear orange red coloured with a medium sized off-white head. Malty aroma of fruits, caramel, smoke, hops and tar. Malty flavour of caramel and fruits with notes of smoke and hops. Malty finish.

sunevdj (4087) - Copenhagen OE, DENMARK - FEB 4, 2011
Pours a hazy brown with a tiny off-white head. Sweet with aromas of smoked malts and leather. Light to medium bodied. Medium carbonation. Tiny hints of honey towards the end. Nicely balanced and clean smoked dunkelish beer.

Theis (15152) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - FEB 4, 2011
Bottle at Sune’s - thanks. Clear amber/brown - white head. Nice smokey. Wood smokey. Amber malts. Nice malty. Grainy notes. Light sweetness. Lovely.

Grima (2394) - Merzkirchen, RLP, GERMANY - FEB 2, 2011
Pours a red-golden beer with a little foam. A little too light for a Rauchbier, I think. The smell is subtle like ham and pleasant smoky, relatively restrained. In beginning part is again pleasant smoke flavored. A good ham flavor comes through, but everything is very decent. In the finish, the ham aroma comes through better. In the entire course takes the ham-note to something, but all in all is a very subtle, mild, but good palatable Rauchbier.

mile (3947) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JAN 19, 2011
Bottle. Dark amber, cloudy, small and fully diminishing light brown head. Moderate, malty and sweetish aroma, caramel and dark bread, light smokiness and bacon. Body is light to medium, malty and lightly sweetish flavor, caramel, light smokiness, bit flat. Finish is average, malty and lightly sweetish, light smokiness and alcohol. Light bodied dryish “rauch bier”.

judasbeer (431) - Budapest, HUNGARY - SEP 13, 2010
Appearance: Light mahogany color with a thick, strong head on the top.
Aroma: Distinct smoked malty aroma with a woody touch.
Flavor: Some caramel sweetness shines through the smoked malty surface.
Mouthfeel/Palate: Medium bodied with not too harsh smoked edge. Rather sipper than quaffer.
Overall: A really pleasant smoked lager, not as unique as Schlenkerla’s.

ogreface (1390) - Budapest, HUNGARY - SEP 4, 2010

inbirraveritas (1578) - Budapest, HUNGARY - AUG 31, 2010
Flip-top bottle from „Sörspecialista”, Bp. Pours a hazy dark brown with a medium, laceing beige coloured head, which remain thinly. The nose is roasty, smoky and light yeasty. It has a moderate sharp start, mouthfeel is slick and mild. The flavour is (bitter)chocolate liked. The middle part brings roasty and smoky aromas and notes of grass and bottom fermented yeast in the back. Finish is chocolate bitter, a bit spicy, citric and dry at last, which remain in a roasty aftertaste. Medium bodied, easy drinkable brew, overall a nice and special one.

stouby (4666) - Holbæk, DENMARK - AUG 4, 2010
Bottle at home. Orange with an off-white head, some yeast at the bottom. Aroma moderate smoky (bacon). Flavor moderate sweet, light to moderate smoky. Medium body. Very nice.
