MPA (999) - Amager (form. Nørrebro&Aalborg), DENMARK - MAY 27, 2007
Bottle. Dark with beige head. Malty and smoked aroma. Flavour is also dominated by malt and smoke, though not smoke in abundance. A very well balanced rauch. Very drinkable and more "session beer"-like than most smoked beers.

Emil (6065) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAY 21, 2007
Bottle. A ruby beer with a big beige head. The aroma is light smoked, like Spezial in Bamberg, not to much, just perfect for my taste. Medium body with a dry, smoked finish. Good smoke beer!

Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAY 3, 2007
(Bottle 50 cl) Clear, warm, orangey brown with an off-white head. Distinct, baconish smoke aroma. Medium-bodied with sweetish, roasted malt and caramel - completely overpowered by very distinct smoke notes. The finish is dry. A solid Rauchbier. 290407

Bügelverschlußflasche: Reddish-amber coloured, small and stable foamy layer; sweet (dark-)malt and dried fruit in the nose, underpinned by smoked wood; light to medium bodied, sweet flavour; sweet smoke in the malty finish, some hops in the aftertaste. Good......

jonas (7568) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - MAR 15, 2007
Bottle. Red brown, nice golden brown head. Nice smoke and juniper aroma. Medium roasted base, berries and juniper, light honey - quite pleasant. Mellow sparkly mouthfeel.

jbrus (4990) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - MAR 12, 2007
Bottled. Malts and smoked eel aroma. Hazy, orange/red, beige head, good lace. Sweet, pretty bitter, little salty that comes well with the smoked eel ;), well hopped. Bit watery mouth feel with a dry finish. Too sweet and watery otherwise it has potential.

3.3
skortila (5850) - Baarn, NETHERLANDS - MAR 11, 2007
Aroma of smoke, some malt and a hop character. Clear, red amber coloured with a lasting, off-white head. Taste is bitter, sweet, hoppy, smoked, bit malty, bit salty and there is some sourness in the aftertaste. Dry and watery.

3.8
MoritzF (9901) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - MAR 1, 2007
(swing top bottle) Hazy, reddish amber colour with a fluffy, slowly lacing off-white foamy head. Toast-malty nose with notes of caramel and a delicate smoky aroma, also a vague fruity aspect in the background. Light to medium bitter flavour, almost medium bodied with a moderately carbonated mouthfeel. Toasted malty taste, light notes of caramel with a present, but not dominating smokiness; malt-accented, smoky, slightly bitter finish with a light hoppy note. Very pleasant and rounded Rauchbier.
