Tulip Snifter. Growler topped bottle: A: very light, slight caramel sweet, with hint of green apple peel App: very hazy, nice frothy head that disperses quickly. T: very light, refreshing, slight bitterness, very light hoppyness, with a nice malt balance. P: smooth, light, virtually no bubble feel. Very close to "Dab" or any true German Dortmunder

Sweet little keg that Sam’s Quik Stop apparently got for less than they were supposed to, so it was only $12.99... not bad for 10 pints worth. Pours a tan-tinted hazy golden with a creamy white head. Nose of fresh country bread, some mild floral hop notes, and creamy caramel. The malt comes forward more in the taste, including some corn and grain, but it’s still quite a refreshing beer with a delicate lemony note on the finish as well as a mild bitterness. Light palate. Simple and beautiful. I think I’ll go buy a few more kegs. Grima (2499) - Merzkirchen, RLP, GERMANY - FEB 11, 2012
Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!

Bottle. I bought this for the bottle (homebrewer), but I’ve also never had a Zwick’l, so that’s a bonus.
Pours a pale gold. Slightly opaque when held to the light. I poured moderately aggressively and got a 1-2 cm head that dissipated into a thin film within seconds.
Aroma is of toasty, bready maltmalt with some yeast, banana and clove esters and some other indecipherable fruitiness and a hint of sourness. It reminds me of a less-aggressive hefeweizen.
Pretty good body and a sticky, lingering mouthfeel. The yeast flavor dominates, with only a slight bit of toastiness on the end. More hop bitterness than I expected. It’s still not much, but it’s detectable.
I’m not a big fan of hefeweizens and that is what this beer most approximates to me. However, the yeast esters are less prominent and the bitterness and complexity are more appealing to me. Enough so that I can see myself buying more (especially for the bottles).

5l minikeg. It is a hazy orangeish gold with a large, foamy white head. The smell is light and grainy. The flavor is sweet and bready but with a nice touch of noble hops in the back. Not bitter but the hops are noticeable. I was surprised by this particular one. birrabona (221) - ITALY - DEC 19, 2011
amber, not filtered. difficult to drink. not intensive, not balanced. dry and not fine. beautiful packaging but product not authentic.
