Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!

draft at the brewery. clear golden yellow body with a fine-bubbled white head. some diacetyl noticed in the nose, some cracker pils malt, light honey, light lemon. slightly syrupy texture, a little slick and oily, some butter/diacetyl and sulfur noticed. disappointing body dissolves early as it first touches the palate. okay overall.

on tap at the slunce ve skle festival. golden with a small but lasting white head. very soft texture, quite grassy with a trace of menthol and some peachy malt. quality stuff, could have been a touch more bitter, but i can imagine this as an excellent session beer Quack-Duck (9540) - Down South, GERMANY - JUL 21, 2008
1.5l PET bottle, thank you frankenland! Hazy pale golden yellow, very creamy and persistent white head. Superb hoppy nose. Full-bodied, bitter-sweet. Pleasantly malty with lovely hoppy flavours (Saaz), resiny and grassy and with some fruity notes. Perfect smooth and velvety carbonation and moutheel. Very well balanced, every sip is a pleasure. Superb stuff! Absolutely fantastic. Glouglouburp (6103) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - APR 7, 2008
Back from a Czech Republic pub-crawl this is part of my express ratings for the “typical” Světlý 11°- (Czech light Pils), Světlý 12°+ (Czech Pils), Polotmavý (Czech Amber Lagers) and Tmavý (Czech Black Lagers). Non-typical beers will receive personalized descriptions after the express ratings.TaktikMTL (8014) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - APR 7, 2008
How: Tap at brewpub (Pivovar Velkorybnický Hastrman, Velky Rybnik, Czech Republic)
The look: Almost clear yellow body with a large white head
To me a typical Czech Světlý 11° and below is: Well malted body with lots of smooth cereals and a light fresh honey sweetness flavour. Some fruity notes (more fruity notes than in the 12°+) with mostly citrus fruits and a little lemon. The finish is somewhat herbal and citrusy with but unlike the 12°+ there is only a hint of the dry grassy bitterness usually associated with noble/Saaz hops. Bitterness is mild and does not really play a big role in the overall flavours spectrum. A light meringue sensation and an overall freshness impression.. Carbonation is typically very soft. These beers are low in intensity but very refreshing and drinkable in scarily large quantities.
This one: As above but with a bonus of mango and lemon pie. Superbly well done and drinkable is enormous quantities.
UPDATED: FEB 22, 2009 My Bottom Line:
An inspiring balance of honeyed hay and herbal hop minutia graces this chewy yet poundable Nefiltrované Bohemian Pilsener. Another highly successful Velkorybnicky brew.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-Strudy foam decorates the hazy pale blond.
-That subtle Saaz bitterness builds with every sip.
-I found this to be very Kacov-like in its subtlety, balance, smoothness, and overall amazing quality.
-This one has a very chewy body for an 11°.
-The 1.5-liter bottles we brought back to the hotel weren’t as good though (3.7-3.8), but they had been pre-filled so I don’t know how long they had been sitting in their fridge.
On tap at the brewpub.
