COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Brewed with oak bark.

1l PETka from Farmarsky Obchod Praha. Hazy amber-brown colour, mid-sized off-white head. Cellar-like aroma, dusty, woody but also nicely hoppy. Medium-bodied, solid malty base with a good malt character, woody-dusty hints, deliicous saaz hops towards the finish. Very interesting, and the name (cellar beer) is true ;)

Interesting and very tasty lager.

Shared bottle at RB/HB at ABE´s 07.11.15. Hazy, dark orange amber. Beige head. Butterscotch, honey, syrup and caramel in aroma. Similar taste, but balanced with moderate bitterness. Surprisingly crisp mouthfeel and good drinkability.

gunnar (9765) - Sandnes, NORWAY - NOV 7, 2015
Shared bottle at local tasting. Pours almost clear mahogany with a tiny white head. Aroma is malty with lots of wood. Taste is light sweet herbal malty, with a decent dry mineralic finish. Interesting and moreish beer.

Sigmund (7962) - Tau, NORWAY - NOV 7, 2015
Shared 500 ml bottle at local tasting. Reddish amber colour, moderate off-white head. Pleasant and unusual aroma of honey, caramel, butterscotch and what is probably oak bark. The flavour is not as sweet as expected, but has the said elements, also decent hops. Interesting beer!

brugmanneke (283) - GERMANY - JUN 16, 2013
(tap) Chestnut-coloured, rather hazy, very creamy, off-white head. Strange aroma at first, but I quickly got used to it, especially once I knew it was brewed with oak bark. Smells of caramel and tastes of herbs, a hint of cough syrup, cellary notes, wood, moss, toasted and caramel malt aroma. Light bitterness, slightly sour. Smooth mouthfeel, soft carbonation, creamy. Overall very interesting. Like a unusually malty and dark Kellerbier with wood accents. Inventive.

Bottle from Zly Casy Pivoteka, Prague. Clear amber/copper beer with a very nice offwhite head. Malty bready aroma, dark bread, spicy notes, caramel, oak notes, roasted, some toffee. Bready flavor, caramel, dough notes, some balanced oak. Again a great malt bomb from this brewery.
