COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Mark Venton’s methods of producing cider are as traditional as they get in Devon. Devon cider apples, natural yeast from the apples and orchards, a crusher, a twin screw oak press, barley straw and oak barrels are all that they use, just as they did when cider was made to supply farms and their workers over the centuries. Apple Vice is a medium, fruity straw pressed from vintage Devon apples.

Draught at a Wetherspoons. Cloudy gold with no head. Quite a sharp, skinny cider, citric acids with a cooking apple character. Quite refreshing on a muggy day. It’s fine to good.

Box @ Cuthbert Brodrick, Leeds. Slightly hazed golden-yellow coloured. Has plenty of apple in its nose, with a dryness to its apple in taste, with a little bit of activity on the tongue.

The_Osprey (8717) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 15, 2016
Cask HP at The Crosse Keys London as Ventons Apple Vice. Cloudy orange, still, no head. Aroma is airy and light, very little going on, some muted apple core. Body is smooth with low carbonation. Taste is thin, watery, apple, light soap, touch of varnish. A wishy washy cider with some soapy off notes. Overall, mediocre at best. Doubt condition is a factor as I visit this pub regularly and this could only have been on a maximum of one day.
