An organic bottle fermented cider from near Bayeux in Normandy. Gold colour, with only a little sediment and moderate mousse. The aroma is frankly nasty - eggy sulphur and pongy cheese. The palate is rather better - reasonably fresh and clean - but by then the damage has been done. Besides, it terribly difficult to drink while holding your nose anyway. 750ml bottle, bought in France. Lets hope this bottle is just an aberration: must re-rate when I get the chance.
