The best among all the other lagers produced in Greece. With a great value-for-money price is a must for every bbq party and camping! Liters of beer consumed, the same burp at the end. arsol (1230) - NORWAY - OCT 26, 2013
Lys gul farge med hvitt skum. Lukter noe honning og hint av sitrus. Smaker syrlig og noe mere maltsmake enn en vanlig lager. lively,... Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 3, 2006
Bottle, BB 5.5.06. Bright golden pour with a nice initial 1" white head. Nose of light fruits, breadiness, and a hint of lighter fruit/citrus. Flavors of wheat/straw, citrus, bread, and some metal at the backend. Light-bodied, but never felt watery... decent feel to it. Overall easy-drinkin’ and fairly solid. mixos (154) - Thessaloniki, GREECE - JAN 5, 2010
In Greece there are 4 Grand Breweries that brew for massive consumption. Generally these beers are not something special... or to be more clear ...these beers are almost water. So that’s the reason you could find them cheap. Vergina premium lager is for me the best of all these beers. An average lager but not water. tlind2 (1755) - Helsinki, FINLAND - AUG 31, 2012

Pale golden color, frothy white head. Bland malty aroma. Surprisingly hoppy flavor with a bitter finish. Medium-light body, medium carbonation. Reminds me of Perroni. Sessionable.
Clear yellow color with white head. Aroma light malty, cereal, corn. Taste lightly bitter. light body, average carbonation, oily feel. light bitter finish bhensonb (15500) - Woodland, California, USA - JUN 29, 2008
330 ml bottle BB 060608. Cap had the BEPΓINA, but the bottle had Vergina. Golden color with a filmy white head. Fresh floral/grassy hop aromas. Near medium body with near creamy carbonation. Flavor seems rather citrus hop over pale malt. A little grassiness is noticeable in the finish. Lemongrass hop? Certainly rather different type of lager. Note from the web: BEPΓINA means Vergina, and that’s a small town in Macedonia. More: The Vergina Sun, Star of Vergina or Argead Star is the name given to a symbol of a stylised star or sun with sixteen rays. It was unearthed in 1977 during archaeological excavations in Vergina, in the northern Greek province of Macedonia, by Professor Manolis Andronikos. He discovered it on a golden larnax in the tombs of the kings of the ancient kingdom of Macedon.

330 ml can BB dated 11/2015. At Taverna Mermaid (closed at the time) at the Sweetwater Beach in southern Crete.
Pale golden body with a decent head. Rather high carbonation. Only mildly bitter but this builds into the aftertaste.
O: about average for style.
