330 ml bottle into tulip glass, best before 2/8/2019. Bit of a gusher opener. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy deep golden amber/light orange color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big golden raisin, peach, plum, apricot, cherry, berries, citrus zest, melon, pear, red apple, white grape, pepper, clove, light banana/bubblegum, honey, candi sugar, biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, bready malt, and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of big golden raisin, peach, plum, apricot, cherry, berries, citrus zest, melon, pear, red apple, white grape, pepper, clove, light banana/bubblegum, honey, candi sugar, biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate peppery yeast spiciness and herbal/grassy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of golden raisin, peach, plum, apricot, cherry, berries, citrus zest, melon, pear, red apple, white grape, pepper, clove, light banana/bubblegum, honey, candi sugar, biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, bready malt, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with an awesome malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and zero cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitter/spiciness and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy, and fairly sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 10%. Overall this is an excellent Belgian strong pale ale. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, bready malt, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to sip on for the big ABV. Great well rounded Belgian yeast complexity, balanced bready malts, and nice earthy hop presence. Not overly sweet/heavy feeling, well attenuated. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example. Aurelius (5741) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JAN 3, 2018
Slope-shouldered 11.2 oz bottle, bad label. Formidable head on a misty, pale body. Candied, yeasty, slightly smokey, woody aroma. Sassy, bitter-tangy flavor - Belgian yeast, fairly sweet, good bittering, woody, some spiciness. Medium to slightly heavy body, vanilla notes at the end, good carbonation retention. Very well balanced, even for the high gravity. A solid choice, a quality brew. ABC Liquors, Betton. Lore (3118) - Budapest, HUNGARY - JAN 1, 2018

Helder donkergeel bier met schuim. Smaak is warm, krachtig, zoet en licht kruidig met iets van banaan en honing. Heel goed.

Really drinkable 10% blond. I could drink this year round. Proves Verhaeghe can do more then just brew sours (Duchesse De Bourgogne, my favorite).
Slight banana clove, touch of alcohol on the back end. Looking forward to drinking again, and again. daniele (10201) - ITALY - DEC 17, 2017
