Bottle 25cl, a clear amber beer with low head. Nose is sour with wood notes. Aroma is on apple, grapes, red fruits and cherry, quite sweet, nice sour notes, light wood touch. Finish is also sour with toasted and caramel notes, slightly metallic. A very good one ! sebletitje (10080) - Enghien, BELGIUM - JUN 17, 2012
25cl from Dranken Geers, BB 15/03/2013

Clear amber beer, nice off-white head, unstable, little adhesive. aroma: pretty sour smell, lactobacillus, sweet caramel, somewhat woody, spices. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet caramel, nice lactic sourness, bit woody, sweet fruity, some raisins, bit peppery, spices. Aftertaste: pretty sour with brown sugar sweetness. A tad on the sweet side, but not bad at all.
Bottle. Bright and clear amber gold, small white head that settles quickly. Aroma of dirty feet and sour lemons. Taste is funky, dusty lemon soda. Interesting stuff. MrHangover (4502) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - DEC 20, 2011
Bottle. Clear brown colour with white head. Too bad that the head didn’t form well, but it still looked good. Smell was oaky, sour and floral. Flavour had dry sourness in it and you could defintely get some oak in there. Nice fresh beer.. good find.

On tap at St Gummarus pub in Lier, Belgium. It poured a clear brown liquid with a white head. Sweet and sour with a malty body. Very nice, reminded me of Rodenbach grand cru and it was my fathers favorite. jtclockwork (16562) - , New Jersey, USA - APR 15, 2011
Botella. Pours tea colored. Nose of caramel, vinegar, wood, yeast and fermented apples. Taste of grain, old coffee grounds, wet wood, lightly soured apple and vinegar. Yeasty. Odd notes. DSG (14764) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - MAR 12, 2011

[3/3/11] Bottle at Delirium Cafe in Brussels. Clear reddish color with a quickly-diminishing small beige head. Aroma of malt, caramel, some balsamic vinegar and some oak. Sourish-sweet flavor with some cherries, caramel and some wood. Medium-bodied. 6/3/7/3/14=3.3
Bottle "caves, het bier van lier" Pours out amber coloured. Medium head, won’t hold long enough. Sour-fruity smell, some wood inside also. Lighlty carbonated, a bit to less, sourness is not to overwhelming, taste lots of fruits and caramel. More sweet then expected. Some cookie-like stuff at the taste. Sour ale isn’t really my stuff, so probably way underrated... imdownthepub (14546) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - DEC 17, 2009
Bottled, 250ml from Marche de Natalie, Bouillon, Belgium. Red amber with off white head. Verhaeghe certainly seem to do sours well, not one of my favourite styles but this is quite drinkable, fruity, sourish cherry note with damsons plus a slight caramel, boiled note, it is smooth and full. Pretty decent.
