Bottle, 330ml. Pours clear VERY dark red with minimal soapy off-white head. Small amount of large carb bubbles visible. No lacing. Aroma is very vinous and sour, with strong notes of cherry, rich, spicy fruitcake, muscavado sugar, brandy, liquorice balsamic vinegar in the back. Somewhat musty, woody, also something lactic; strong cheese maybe, as an undercurrent. Acetone also present. Very mildly sweet sometimes. Taste is much sweeter and fruitier with some blackcurrent and maybe even raspberry coming through with the sour cherry and vinous stuff at the forefront. This is followed up by a dry, mild, lactic sourness with some lingering light, sticky cereal malt. Balsamic vinegar is a constant presence. Comes across as quite syrupy in flavour but the body is light and the texture is smooth, with some moderate carbonation lending more weight to the sour attack. Like it but Id prefer if it were little bit less syrupy and vinegar-y.

Tap - aroma is sour and full bodied. Taste follows the aroma but with some sweet tones, giving a very intense attack on the senses as sweet and sour combintion frequently do. I love this stuff in bottles, on tap its even better! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

butelka 750ml. nikły aromat, lecz przyjemny. pięknie się prezentuje, piana utrzymuje się, ładnie zdobi szkło. w smaku świetny balans pomiędzy kwaśnością a słodkością. suszone czerwone owoce, pełne w smaku. Świetne.

Bottle. Reddish-brown ale. Vinous, rich, fruity, sweet & sour. Sweet dark cherries balanced by slightly wine-vinegary sourness. Very nice! (2008)

0.33 l bottle from Vrutak, Zagreb. Shared with Vinja 666 and Nikola. Dark brown, coke color, small off-white head. Wine, cherry-brandy, basement aromas, alcohol, glue. Sour and gluey dryness. Astringent, very dry, medium body, lingering dry finish. Very sour, a beer for true sour lovers. Very nice and interesting.

Deep amber/brown color, clear, with a small creamy head, disappearing with some lace. Aroma is licorice, some lactic acid, a little tartness, some wood notes. Taste is more lactic acid, vinegar but not intense, wood. Dry mouthfeel, good carbonation, not too much fizzy, refreshing. Its not a Rodenbach Grand Cru, but its a nice beer of this style.

Bottle at home. An incredibly odd beer with which Ive had a complicated relationship. First time I thought it was the nastiest thing God put on this earth. The second time, maybe one of the best. This time, this wine like beer came off more sweet than sour. It is of course very tart and had very powerful flavours of sherry and wine vinegar (so sherry vinegar). Berry pick a mix. I wish it felt more Belgian / alcoholic as it came off too sweet and vinegary this time. Was clearly better off draught at the pub in Sweden!
