Beautiful Sour Ale, comparable to the Grand Cru by Rodenbach. I prefer the Rodenbach because of it’s depth where as this just has a stronger late sour yeast pop.

Famous example of my favorite style; mixed fermentated Flemish Red. It pours dark maroon-brown with medium sized tan head. Foam is not long-lasting, but it leaves a cover on top. Vinous aroma. Sour berry and plum, oak and molasses are on the nose. Taste is moderately sour. Red fruits, wood, slight vanilla and toasted malts are mixed with acidic sourness. Dry and slightly sour finish with soft astringency. Medium bodied and softly carbonated. Delicious and highly drinkable.

Complex aroma with a lot of red wine notes. Something like cherries, red currants, ripe strawberries mixed with some red wine vinegar. Similar taste, light sweetness, lightly bitter, medium sourness. light body, thick feel, fizzy,

I've seen this beer for a while in the LCBO, finally picked it to try. Although I'm not a big fan of sour ale, it is definitely worth a try. Had this one after a nice night at volleyball, watching the express footage of the Habs against St-Louis.

Bottle from la supérette a bières. Brown color, almost no head. Sour, wood, wall nut, vinegar. Really good and refreshing

330ml bottle. Chestnut brown colour with a reddish tinge and a foamy beige head leaving lacing. Aroma has hints of malt, molasses, then vinegar, and mellow sour berry fruity notes. Taste is sour & sweetish, raspberry, tart, fruity, cider, vanilla, woody oak with balsamic vinegar and yogurty notes. Creamy mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry fruity sourish finish. Interesting, nicely drinkable.

In bottle. Surprise and delight beer. Lively carbonation. Remarkable flavour, akin to balsamic vinegar. Wakes up all the senses. A sipping beer.

A spectacular beer, one that you will remember and want to have again. Huge flavour, sour but balanced with the vanilla oak flavours coming through.

UPDATED: NOV 23, 2017 Bottle at home. Pours dark ruby red brown with a creamy off white head. Aroma is sharp & sour, fruity red berries, vinous, apple skins, wood. Taste is soft & sweet at first before the sharpness & balsamic notes comes through. Medium bodied, fine carb, bitter sweet sharp finish. One hell of a beer, not everyone’s cup of tea but I’m a huge fan

What an unexpected and delightful flavour. Bright. Citrus. High notes. Sweet finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
