Bottle. It pours a dark red color with a thin biege head and minimal lacing. The aroma is berries, plums, cherries and grapes. It has a lite tartness. Very nice and enjoyable sour.

Pours dark red, with a beige head. First time with this style, so I may be a little biased. Nose is sharp and sour: vinegar, grapes, grape juice, dark berries. Very unusual, but Im drawn in. First taste: explosion of different tastes, there is so much stuff going on that i cant grasp all of the flavors. Sensing fruits, sweet-sour cherry, sharpness. After a couple of more sips, theres a nice aceto balsamico taste. Like a sour fruit salad. Plums, grapes, tartiness. Every sip is different. This is a huge surprise for me! Very awesome!

Tart fruit. A hint of vinegar. Candied fruit. Dark root beer brown with a foamy light tan head. Tart and sweet. Syrupy. Vinegary. Dry finish. Interesting. Not what I was expecting. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

330 ml bottle in tulip. Dark red colour, medium beige head. Grapes, vinegar, old red wine, champagne, lemon. Very sour, sweet hint and quite fruity. Medium body, lively carbonated. Very sophisticated, not easy to drink. Overall it can be described as a sour rose champagne with a dominant grape aroma. Very interesting!

Bottle, 0.33l. Pours deep ruby body with thin layer of beige head, long lasting and leaving nice lacing on the glass. First time drinking this style, so! Somewhat unusual nose, mostly vinegar, a bit sour cherry, faint malty. Interesting. Thin to medium body with regular carbonation. Lively on the tongue. Taste is pleasantly sour. Aroma of cherry liquor, slight vinegar, a bit woody. Slight brown sugar. Berries. Candy-like mouthfeel followed by sour and dry finish. Overall, very interesting beer to try. Nice one!

I like this sour a lot. Duchesse De Bourgogne pours dark brown with a huge, foamy head. The aroma is mingled tart and sweet notes, sour cherry, dark wine, apple butter, oak and some spice. The flavor is rich and complex, in fact its one of the most complex tasting sours Ive had. The front of the tongue is where the tart/sour notes hit, along with some of the oak, and then the rich and sweet notes come through bigtime on the finish. Theres brown sugar, cranberries, walnuts, a little bit of red wine vinegar, all kinds of stuff going on. I could have this regularly.
