A golden ale with a thin creamy white head. A pleasant peppery aroma, with wild herbs. In mouth, a herbal crisp malt with long astringent herbs, probably the wormwood, some peppermint. Lighter bodied. Not bad. Tasted at brewpub, Nov. 29, 2008, with Sponge. VTHopHead (1511) - Seymour, Tennessee, USA - MAR 8, 2009
Draft at the brewpub - Poured a pale yellow in color with a small white head that quickly disappeared. Aroma is definitely herbal, but the individual ingredients that make that up are not easily distinguished. Flavor is quite bitter with hints of the peppermint and lemon. Finish is bitter and lingering. An OK beer, but not my favorite. JoeMcPhee (9454) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 31, 2008
Very pale golden. Aroma is loaded with lemon, coriander and especially peppermint. A light herbal aroma behind that as well. Flavour is quite nice. A lingering herbal minty bitterness. The body is thin but the combination of peppermint and alcohol gives it a very pleasant finish. It’s sort of christmasy. Fairly strong bitterness but it works quite well.
