[on cask at brewpub] Black currant jam and coffee aroma with some sweet molasses. Opaque brown-black with a lasting, lacy, light brown cover. Sweet mocha and cream flavour that has an almost tingly sweet molasses finish. Medium to mild black malt bitterness. Medium body, low carbonation, tangy dark chocolate finish.

Sampled at brewpub. Do not remember details but found all the beers that I sampled to be good though nothing great.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours black with a thick, thick tan head. Aroma of roast and chocolate. Flavor of roasted malt, followed by burnt malt, and bitter burnt chocolate in the finish. Light palate. Decent dry stout, coulda been better. 7/4/7/3/14 [3.5/5]

Dickinsonbeer (5074) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - OCT 21, 2010
Tap at brewpub. Pours a deep oily black with a nice lasting head. Aroma is sweet, big earthiness, moderate roasted barley, leather and some smokey hints. Flavor is nutty dark chocolate, some roast, more leather, earth and toast, sweet middle, then dries out a bit and gets a mineral finish- clean and good.

Black pour. Roasty aroma. Flavor is roasty, with a hint of chocolate, and very creamy, as is the mouthfeel.

Nearly opaque dark brown color with a medium sized, tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malts, cocoa, and burnt sugar. Taste of dry roasted malts, some smoked wood, and light bitter cocoa, drier finish.
