Briess Pale malt balanced with Roast, Dark, Crystal and Munich malts allow for the perfect mix of malted barley for this Robust Porter with Madagascar vanilla bean. Lightly hopped to allow a slight roast, dominant chocolate and vanilla bean character to come through, this beer borders on the low end of the IBU scale and the high side for Original Gravity.

Draft pour pint at the new Malt and Vine. A near black pour with a cream foam ring head. Cocoa and vanilla sweet aroma. Flavor is vanilla wafer and milk chocolate. Delicious. Drinks nice. A bit sweet, but not enough to complain about. A slightly toasty finish. Quite nice.

Bomber. Roasted malt aroma with rich chocolatey notes and subtle vanilla. Pours black with a thin light brown head with ok retention and good lacing. Starts with sweet chocolatey notes with some roasted malt as well as a smooth mouthfeel and a medium body. Finishes smooth with excellent subtle vanilla notes that melds very well with the other flavors. Nice vanilla porter with good balance.

On tap at Pizza Schmizza in Hillsboro, OR. Aroma has roasted grains and strong vanilla, with hints of chocolate and biscuit. Reminds me of malted milk balls. Mouthfeel is a bit thin (but thats to be expected from a Porter), though there is a decent roasted grain profile there to keep it interesting. Creamy, smooth, and sweet from the start through a long finish. Not bad!

Bomber thanks to Mike. Pours a mahogany hue with a large brown head. A sweet nose of coffee and roast. A enjoyable smooth Porter with big vanilla bean, coffee, some light roast and chocolates. Good.

Dark brown, persistent tan head. Aroma is biscuity, nutty, cocoa, vanilla is low. Vanilla much stronger in the flavor. Lots of vanilla, light chocolate, nutty notes. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22oz Bottle. The pour was a very dark brown with an average (1-2 finger) light tan frothy head that reduced down to a thin film and medium collar with fair runny lacing. The aroma was of a roasted dark bread malt and a doughy leathery yeast with notes of vanilla, milk chocolate and a mild roasted coffee scent. The taste was very lightly sweet and a bit malty with a hint of milk chocolate from the start, with the finish being a tad bitter and having an ever so light hint of vanilla with a mild coffee presence towards the end. The flavor lasted an average duration following the swallow with a mild choco-roastiness that was left to linger. Mouthfeel was just under medium in body with a slightly watery yet dry texture and a medium carbonation. Overall this was a decent Porter with a good smooth drinkability. Although I did find it rather light on vanilla, it did however posses a nice creamy chocolate taste...

Bomber from Made in Oregon. Pours dark brown with a creamy/fizzy tan head. Aroma of roast malt, chocolate and maybe vanilla. Med body. Fizzy carb. It has dark roast malt, some chocolate and some vanilla. Ok, but not super flavorful.
