On tap at Foeders. Pours black with light head. Aromas of dark chocolate, balsamic vinegar and red wine barrels. Flavors of syrupy chocolate and smooth roasted malts cut with apples, cherry skins and sour dark fruit. I’m not usually a fan of sour stouts but this one really works. Kinda like dark chocolate and cherries. Well done. 13.5% Really? No clue.

Drank at VCBF 10-06-17. Very interesting stout/sour combination. Like those porters with cherries. Nice.

Wow! On tap at Moeder Lambic. Pours inky black with a dark head. Aroma is very intense, dark malt and roasty notes paired with funky sour notes. Lot of dark berries (blackberry, raspberry). Rich, sweet, thick and oily mouthfeel. Sweet and rich taste, some acidity, complex, blackberry and raspberry, dark malts. Finishes fruity and sweet. Great beer!! What a nice twist on an Imperial stout.

Keg at Salt Horse. Pours black with the merest tan head. Aromas of Christmas cake and sherry, dark chocolate and liquorice. Taste is light sour, then rich dark chocolate and more sherry. Very rich, but surprisingly easy drinking.

Pitch black with a tan head. Aroma contains some chocolate, oak, caramel, and vinegat. The flavor is both sweet and sour with aspects of a sweeter stout mixed in with some Oud Bruin. You can’t taste any alcohol in this. This is dangerously drinkable and unique. Awesome.
