Bbd nov. 2014, stored most of the time probably on the shelves of Wijnegemse drankenhal. Bottle opened today, almost 3 years later. Poors dark cherrie-reddish brown with good, light mocha head, not lasting, little lacing. Aroma very clean: no off-smells or noticable alcohol. Strenght medium but with rather good complexity. Caramel malts, candi sugar, ligth butterscotch, hints of dark fruits, red fruits, hints of spices, light alcohol warmth. Not unlike a barley wine. Taste the same but thinner, somewhat watery even and sweeter rather than fruity, some yeast, again no interference of alcohol or carbonation. Faint, grainy, bitter aftertaste. MF very gentle due to lack of carbonation, a little syrupy. Looks beautiful, aroma very promesing, taste underwhelming, just too thin and watery. Final poor with yeast adds more body to the taste though, maybe I should have poored it all at once.

Weinig aroma, ietsje karamel.

On tap @Luppolo Station (Rome). Ambrata carica, schiuma bianco-sporco medio-leggera.

Bottle from Beergium. Aroma is dark malt, caramel, brown sugar, dried dark fruits, raisins, touch of liquorice, yeast. Flavour is quite sweet, bit cloying. Body is above medium. A rather sweet Belgian Strong Dark Ale with the usual flavours.

Robe rousse à brune claire, faible mousse beige quoique persistante.
