Bottle picked up from Dranken Geers, Oostakker, nr Gent, Belgium, consumed at home Sunday 12th November 2017 whilst cooking Lamb, Tomato and Anchovy Casserole with Cumin Aubergines whilst listening to This is the Comet. if this was meant to be a Flemish sour it would be pretty decent, however I note it's a stout (what?), it's strange I rather like it but if I rated it as a stout I would be disappointed. I'm convinced this is a Flemish Red so I am rating it as such. Tangy, tart, fruity with a little oak and cherry touch. A6 A4 T8 P4 Ov14 3.6

Icedwarf (1906) - Etten-Leur, NETHERLANDS - OCT 21, 2017
Zwart bier met weinig schuim. Het is mij niet duidelijk wat hiermee aan de hand is. Als ik de overige beschrijvingen lees komt dat niet overeen met wat ik ervaar. Bier is zuur, smaak naar een asbak, muf en heeft een vervelende geur van iets wat aan het rotten is. Bah, weggegooid na de eerste slok en dat komt echt zelden voor. De punten zijn dan ook alleen omdat het er wel normaal uitziet.

Fles gekocht in Edam, thuis geprobeerd. Het is een donkerbruin bier met dunne schuimkraag. Het heeft een lekkere gebrande chocolade achtige geur. De smaak is zuur, houtig.

Keg @6 North, Edinburgh. 1st Birthday. Pours very dark brown, slight red tinge, tan head. Nose is funk, slight whisky, big fruits, slight toffee. Taste is as the nose.

Christian (14040) - Odense, DENMARK - AUG 28, 2017
On tap at Christian Firtal. Dark brown with a lasting off-white head. Big oak aroma with cherry, licorice and chocolate. Sweet and tart fruity flavour with a roasted, ashy note.

Tap @ C4, Odense. Pours Black with a small creamy head. Roast, licorice, berries, red berries, funk, bacteria, barnyard. A messs perhaps @ MrOrla, But no off notes;-) Short But funky finish.

Tap @ C4. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of gorgonzola - cheesy and salmiac, sour vinegary, loads of wood, fruity. Taste is rather sour, loads of fruits, slight cherry, woody. What a mess.

Bottle shared at Cotteridge convention 05/03/2016. Thanks to Shane!. A cloudy mahogany brown coloured pour with a loose light tan head. Aroma is woody vanilla, praline, booze. Flavour is composed of tangy, brett funk, horse, rubber, tangy fruit cake. Palate is tangy with highish carbonation. Nice funk character.

Drank at VCBF 10-06-17. Sour beer, that’s also most there is to it. Soft and evolves, nice.

Gushing przy otwieraniu. Piana obfita, dość trwała, mimo że sycząca. Barwa brunatno brązowa, mętna. W aromacie głównie wiśnie w czekoladzie, czerwone porzeczki, wino, stara beczka i coś w typie serwatki. W smaku kwaskowe, trochę wiśni, trochę czekolady/kawy, trochę kefiru/serwatki. Niska beczkowa goryczka, wysokie, szampańskie wysycenie, alkoholu i ciała brak w odczuciu.
Dziwny, nietypowy Stout, nie do końca fajnie to wyszło, raczej nie dorównuje piwom w stylu czy Kwas Theta.
