@ Stockholm Beer & Whiskey Festival 2017:Rejält syrlig på gränsen till vinäger med lite honung i eftersmaken

TBone (18391) - Pori, FINLAND - OCT 5, 2017
Bottle at SBWF. Murky amber colour, no head. Earthy, fruity aroma. Medium-bodied. Berries, fruits leading to very acidic finish. Some mould in the background. Not really hits the hot spot.

omhper (25811) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - OCT 5, 2017
Bottled at SBWF. Cloudy amber, minimal head. Vinegary nose with some lingonberry. Acetic with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Vinegar and dough, lingonberry and lemon. Low bitterness. Does not really lift.

PotjeBier (3774) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - AUG 27, 2017
Draft @ Foeders. Murky brown head with hardly any head. Aroma’s: sour, vinegar, wood. Moderate sour flavor, woody. Light medium bodied. Pretty good example of the style.

Borresteijn (7518) - Zaandam, NETHERLANDS - AUG 27, 2017
On tap at Foeders. Hazy amber-brown colour, no head. Aroma of wood, red fruits, vinegar, funky. Flavour follows, nice sourness, good Flemish Brown. Light bodied.

martjoobolut (5229) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - AUG 21, 2017
Tap at foeders. Pours redish brown. Aroma is sour, oaky. Flavor is sour, malt, oak, slight vinegar. Overall: good, but simple.

LLaurin (543) - Motala, SWEDEN - APR 27, 2017
Red in colour and with aciduous nose and fresh citric taste. For sour beer OK but nor quite my taste.

msbernac (2876) - Krakow, POLAND - APR 19, 2017

Taste-medium sourness,
Palate-medium body, sticky, average carbonation, long finish,

F: tart, sour, lemon flesh, wee grainy, and again heavy sourness

Alengrin (5779) - BELGIUM - FEB 9, 2016
The unblended cask version of Brouwers Verzet Oud Bruin, at BBF. Yellowish beige, dense but quickly opening head, cloudy mahogany brown colour with amberish hue. Aroma of passion fruit, medlar, red wine vinegar, redcurrant, wet wood, dry sherry. Estery onset, very fruity, sour red berries and even red wine vinegar sourness, soft carbo, smooth and fluffy caramelly malts in the middle but the sourness persists and dries the mouth with little to back it up, tad woody in the end. Lacks a bit in elegance and complexity compared with e.g. Rodenbach Foederbier but I can certainly appreciate the fact that a small, new beer company invests in this - at least to the average consumer - waning Flemish beer style.
