Sour aroma with soy sauce and some berries.
The flavor is sourness, mild bitterness, berries, tartness and woody dryness.

750ml bottle from de Bierkoning. Barely a pop as I pry the cork out. Not much head or bubbles visible upon pouring. Muddy brown in colour, bit like black tea. Smells a bit like fresh grapes, apples, and wet dog. Tastes fruity for sure, a bit of acetic flavour, and very faintly; something like seaweed. I wouldt say I get any oak character here. Shes definitely sour, but its not mouth-puckering like some other sours out there. Very tasty, would be nice on a hot day but it doest really stand out that much for me. (Draught at Foeders, Amsterdam, 28 July 2017) Reddish brown colour with brief, beige head. Fruity, sourish nose with balsamic vinegar, sour berries, oak leaves and caramel. Malty, tart taste with notes of sour fruit, balsamic vinegar, caramel, some oak wood and a sour finish with a slight sugary sweetness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Subliem zuur bier! Een van mijn all time favorites. Heerlijke verfrissende zuurtegraad, weinig schuimkraag, lekkere nasmaak. Het ideale zomerbier.

On tap at Contrabande in Brussels a few months ago. Hazy red-brown beer with minimal foam. Smelling of black tea, tomato, lemon, with a lingering, tannic taste of strong black tea. Brown color, dirty, no head. Smell of ripe or rotten stone fruit; pungent tropical fruit clash with earthy malt notes. Quite sharp acidity, not much malt depth, fruity finish.
Not bad, but unrefined.

750mL bottle, pours a cloudy dark reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out caramel, balsamic vinegar, light oak and some brown sugar. Flavour is fairly vinegary and tart, with balsamic, Worcestershire sauce, light oak and dry earthiness. Acetic and acidic. Fairly harsh, but it works. Decent.
