Sampled at Rories tasting. Reddish brown with just a little foam. Funk and caramel throughout. Berries and bark. Nice.

UPDATED: NOV 3, 2017 birra con note acide e aromi di legno, mela, frutti a bacca rossa; non estrema quindi molto bevibile e dissetante.

Meilby (11783) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - NOV 3, 2017
Bottle 375ml @ home

Pours clear reddish brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes malt, tartness, caramel and dried fruits. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium sour with a long sour, caramel, fruity and slightly dry finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Zlotta (3963) - Hagen / Düsseldorf, GERMANY - OCT 25, 2017
0.375 l bottle from 'Prik & Tik Baelus', editie 2014, best before December 2025 so I guess bottled 10 years before. The back label still mentions 'experimenteel'. Clear, deep ruby with a medium large, foamy, slowly diminishing, off-white head. Sweetish, slightly sourish, woody, vinous and quite fruity aroma of oak, red grapes, caramel and some balsamic vinegar. Slightly sweet, medium sour, woody, vinous, a bit earthy and quite fruity taste of caramel, oak, red grapes, redcurrant, leather, bitter almond and some balsamic vinegar, followed by a medium long, quite tart, fairly woody-dry, vinous and slightly earthy finish. Medium body, quite astringent and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, soft to average carbonation. Pretty sour but not unbalanced, quite intense, not overly quaffable though, overall quite pleasant!

Inoven (984) - Oirschot, NETHERLANDS - SEP 28, 2017
Flesje meegebracht van vakantie. Roodbruin troebel bier. Schuim trekt meteen weg en het ziet er na enkele minuten uit als cola. Geur en smaak is erg zuur als een geuze bier. Dit is niet het bier waar ik van hou.

onceblind (10690) - Denver, Colorado, USA - SEP 25, 2017
2013 vintage, aged 4 years. Slightly hazy cherry brownish hue with a thin light beige head. Gently earthy tart woody nose with Belgian brown malt and a lactic bugginess. Flavor pops with a bright lactic buggy tone with a bit of funk and sour brown malt with a kiss of tobacco and tart raisins. Lingering acidic bugginess throughout.

TomHendriksen (881) - NETHERLANDS - SEP 23, 2017
Fles gekocht in Edam, thuis geprobeerd. Het is een roodbruin bier met een medium schuimkraag. Het heeft een zure geur. De smaak is zuur, wrang. Het lijkt wel een Geuze.

pintbypint (3864) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - SEP 22, 2017
330ml brown bottle. Murkly red brown colour, thin film of white head on the surface. The nose has some sourness and some red wine notes. Taste has upfront lactic sourness, red wine, cherry/red berries. High carbonation profile. A bit of woody dryness in the finish. A really good Oud Bruin, really enjoyed it.

Nosferaticus (11) - Stalowa Wola, POLAND - SEP 17, 2017
