Aroma is cherries/berries, malts and stock Oud Bruin-style tart. The flavor is cherries/fruit, tobacco/wood aging, malts and a mix of tart, slight sweetness and a smoky hint in the finish.

I get some barnyard funk, a bit of old leather, some gingerbread, and sourness. I like this one. Not the best ever, but solid.

anstei (2131) - Zurich, SWITZERLAND - FEB 24, 2017
Tap at Erzbierschof Zurich. Pours clear brownish ruby. Aroma is freshly polished rusty wet metal, wood, sour beer. Body is medium, with a distinct and rather clean sourness, acetic, vinegar, low carbonation. Palate is dry but some vinegar flavours survive rather long. Good, but this nose is really quite unusual.

DuffMan (10148) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - FEB 21, 2017
Bottle, reddish orange dense off white head that vanishes after a couple minutes. Acetic sourness with seedy unripened berries, woody undertones. Decent.

sjogro (3766) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - FEB 21, 2017
Bottle at home as Oud Bruin Hip Hops (aliased). Hazy red brown with thin offwhite head. Sour cherries, grapes, dank rotting wood, balsamic vinegar. Or is it sweet cherries and sour wood? Quite sour with something sweet to balance it out a bit. Under medium body. Looks and feels still until it moves around the mouth, it gets very sparkly. Bit watery and gluey in the aroma, also a bit watery in the feel. Leaves a cardboardy taste in the mouth. After a while the fruity notes hang on after the finish and tastes like old strawberries. The sourness feels less aggressive and the focus is on the fruity tartness and minerallike qualities. Nice and interesting.
