In a time where a lot of Belgian Brewers are starting to experiment with American Hops, Brouwers Verzet shows they are already past that stage, and they come out with a low alcohol beer with No American Hops (NoAH)

CloakedDagger (3093) - - MAR 22, 2018
Bottle 33 cl. Cloudy "dirty" golden with quite some impurities and an extremely lively yet dissipating white head. Nose is sharp, lightly phenollic and not overly pleasant. Medium body, heavy carbonation, somewhat fruity with a rather crude bitterness. Would most likey have been better with some nice American hops..... 220318

Blonde claire mais trouble. Belle mousse blanche. Nez : levures, agrumes, pêche, herbes, guimauve. Bouche assez ronde avec un petit côté piquant, des saveurs d'agrumes, d'herbes et une moyenne amertume. Pas mauvais !

Bottle at home. Poured misty blond. White foamy head. Aroma of citrus, orange, grain. Taste follow, but more spices?, nice bitterness.

Bottle shared with my brother. Clear light golden with white head. Strong grassy hops, that white stuff on grapefruits, lime, mint, rosemary, chicory, soft pils malts. Medium sweet and over medium bitter. Medium bodied with a bit dry finish. Interesting and drinkeable.

Poors very hazy, orange with big, lasting white head, thick lacing. Aroma rather soft but refreshing: oranges, spicy ( nutmeg ). Taste: subtle tropical fruits, oranges, spicy, lingering bitterness more prominent, some yeast. Pleasant bitter aftertaste, soft carbonation. It tastes rather subtle but it's well balanced, clean and has a decent complexity to keep it interesting. For a low alcohol, refreshing ale this is excellent.

Aroma: funky, phenols, peachy. Appearance: very hazy golden color and white head. Taste: high bitterness, phenols, barnyard, herbs, dry. Palate: low body and medium carbonation. Overall: strange experiment, I guess. No idea what should I expect.

Flesje meegebracht van vakantie. Bleek geel bier. Iets troebel. Aroma en smaak is citrusachtig met een vleugje hooi. Nasmaak is iets bitter.

Fles gekocht in Edam, thuis geprobeerd met LiekevdV. Het is een licht troebel geel bier met een volle schuimkraag. Het heeft een moutige geur met hints van hop. De smaak is hoppig en bitter, lekker.

On tap at Cafe Belgie in Utrecht, Netherlands. This is an absolutely beautiful beer. I was so surprised seeing as Ive never even heard of this brewery. Its a hazy golden with a real funky, herbal aroma. Taste is herbal, hay, farmhouse with a good wallop of bitterness. Definitely doest come off as a "light" beer. Complex, refreshing, could easily drink a few of these. More like a Saison in my eyes. Get this if you see it!
