Bottle. Not that bad, but also not mindblowing. I must say, that it is a hard mans job brewing a great schwarzbier. There are many, and they are not that bad, but getting closer to the Köstritzer will take some time. Maybe I’m wrong, but Vestfyen will not be the preferable.
Bottled (backlog). Deep brown colour, small brown head. Aroma is ripe fruits, some roast and mild liquorice. Flavour is very similar with mild alcohol to it. A bit thin as for the palate. TorbenJensen (1548) - Valby, DENMARK - JUL 24, 2015
To light, to strong and to sweet. This is NOT schwarzbier, but instead something else ’no-matter-beer’ that is not worth writing about. Behind the sweetness there is a little English licorice, and that is exactly the liquorice which helps that I do not dump it altogether. POLK (2219) - Hørning, DENMARK - JAN 13, 2012
This Danish Schwarz Bier from Vestfyen is ok but, more a light stout than it is a Schwarz Bier in both scent and taste. Kronebryg (1124) - Sorgenfri, DENMARK - JUN 12, 2011
Fine but quickly fading head. Black. Nose with caramel, a light smoked note. Medium body with good length. Taste is caramel pleasant but relatively simple

Bottle 50 cl. Black pour with a huge light brown head. Aroma of sweet malt. In taste dominate the sweet malt and hints of toasted malt. Fairly sweet aftertaste. A bit tame Schwarz Bier

Bottle @ Home. Pours black with a creamy tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, caramel, light sourness. Taste is malt, caramel, caramel. Medium creamy body, soft carbonation. 150511 Rasmus40 (21697) - Beder, Aarhus, DENMARK - APR 7, 2011
Clear dark red brown with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt and caramel. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Dry nad light bitter finish. 131009 yngwie (17186) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JAN 6, 2011
Bottle. Dark amber to copper body with a small, beige head. Roasted aroma with hints of chocolate and a faint coffee touch. Roasted and slightly coffee-bitter flavor too, also with hints of coffee. Rather similar to the flavor, but slightly more interesting. Medium body, decent bitterness in the end. A nice beer considering it’s not in the Willemoes series from Vestfyen, else it’s pretty mediocre, but on height with the more commercial German schwarzbiers. 100917 BelgiskOlklub (1083) - Viby J, DENMARK - JAN 4, 2011
Dark brown clear body and a small light brown diminishing head. First and foremost a heavy aroma of brown sugar, and then some roasted malt and yogurt ! Heavy sweet taste and a light bitter burnt/roasted finish. Creamy and sticky texture. Geokkjer (7643) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - SEP 18, 2010
