Murky orange, amber low head. Burned wood, roast, metallic apple, orangepeel wood. Cigarette smoke retronasal. Medium to light body. Overall doesn’t live up to its potential.

en kraftig sag, som har en god bitterhed og skarp smag. Den har også bockens sødme.

This bock has both the right color (amber with touches of red), the right foam (continuous and rough) and the right flavor (sweet and fruity). The taste is good. It reveals first malt sweetness, as in this bock it is reflected in caramel and fruit (perhaps a little plum / peach), then it have the Bocks palate and finally an appropriate long hoppy bitterness. I do not recall Willemoes series belongs to my favorites among beer, but this beer is as above average.

500 ml bottle sampled in 2009. Clear copper body with a nice beige head. Aroma feels like sweet malt, dry fruit and some caramel. I find the flavor more complex than aroma, sweet malt, toast, dry fruit, caramel and decent bitterness. Fine body and good aftertaste. Pleasant and nice.

This seems to be a highly complex brew, and it shows in all the different aromas and tastes you experience throughout. It’s more or less the best danish Bock I’ve tasted. Very good balance of sweet caramel malt and distinguished Goldings hops. It’s a fairly strong lager, but you’ll never notice it.

Bottle 500ml @ haakonm
Pours clear dark amber with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, bread, dried fruits and floral hops. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

BeerViking (4993) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 7, 2013
Bottle, dark reddish brown with a clinging off white head. Aromas of bread, spices, old wine, rich body is like a dry hopped dunkel weizenbock. Light sweetness well balanced with dry peppery and almost acrid hops, a little dark dried fruit, very nice.

StoutHead (988) - DENMARK - APR 14, 2013
Bottle. Pours a mostly clear light red colour with a small persistent white head. Light aroma of malt and light fruity notes. Taste is of toasted malts, fruits, caramel, hops and smoke. Perhaps a bit too much carbonation. Overall it’s quite drinkable with a long bitter and nutty aftertaste. Not bad.

BelgiskOlklub (1083) - Viby J, DENMARK - APR 10, 2013
Light hazy brown body and a off-white head. Aroma of roasted malt, brown sugar, dried fruits. The taste is medium sweet and light bitter. Oily texture.

Flaska. Blommig och fruktig doft tillsammans med karamell. Tyvärr något tunn kropp, men bortsett från det inte så oävet med gröna äpplen, citron, karamell och röda bär.
