COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

NosirIwont (2572) - Husum, - NOV 16, 2012
Bottle. 7.0%. Best before 31.05.13. Pours a hazy deep amber with a dense khaki head. Good lacing. Weak aroma; yeast, malt and a touch of hops. Cereal, burnt rubber and alcohol notes as it warms. Spicy, malty and slightly tart flavour. A bit cloying. A citrus hop note tries to join in as it warms, but just lingers in the vicinity. Malty, spicy and rather alcoholic finish. Overall okay, if nothing special, but the alcohol in the finish was somewhat off-putting. 17.11.12.

SlackerMads (3467) - DENMARK - AUG 12, 2017
Bottle. Clear chestnut brown with a medium sized off white head with good lace, retention, and regeneration. Metallic nose with copper pennies, mild brown sugar and boiled vegetables. The flavour follows the nose with brown bread, pennies, cooked vegetables and twigs. Fine soft carbonation but quite sweet with little bitterness to balance it. Bready finish with sweetness and light cooked vegetables. Poor effort.

Bottle shared with JMD on board Fridtjofen 27.04.17. Clear pale copper. Diminishing off-white head. Sweet aroma and taste of ripe plums, prunes, berries, malt and dark candy sugar. Dark berries in medium bitter aftertaste.

Flaske delt med Ovesen ombord på Fridtjofen: klar, rødlig mahogny med ok offwhite skum. Røde bær, appelsinmarmelade og kandis og litt rosin i både aroma og smak. Slank. Mild, kort bitterhet i den tørre avslutningen.

Backlog, påskefrokost i Skjern. Bottle. Pours red brown with tiny head. Weak aroma, some sweet malts, not very belgish. Taste is weak as well. Tastes more like a standard commercial than classic belgian ale. Palate is light.

500ml bottle (?,Kaunas)
Sweetish malty aroma, some nice barley aspects, some oddness, hint of peanut. Surprisingly light palate for a 7% beer, and I’m not getting the alcohol either. However, this is extremely raw and underattenuated. Flat palate. Nutty and sweet. What a freaking mess. However, clearly the best ever beer from these fuckers, quite a trainwreck of a brewery. I’m charitably giving this an extra point for covering the alcohol, but it’s so raw, I don’t actually believe it’s 7% in the first place. Mess. Makes me sad.

Marduk (8206) - Reval, ESTONIA - OCT 8, 2016
500ml bottle (shop/bar in Kaunas). Clear brown chestnut color. Small size, yellowish head, stays as a ring. Sourish, nutty, husky, raisins, grainy in aroma. Sourish, caramel, old bar of candy, husky, grainy and some vomit in taste. Old caramel candy in aftertaste. Sourish and sweet too. Wouldn’t say it’s 7%. At least it doesn’t taste like one. Slightly messy brew.

2.3
Bolian (192) - - AUG 6, 2016
Pours chestnut clear, white-beige foam good retention. Nose is yeasty and is more reminiscent of a lager than ale. Scent of malt / bread follows along. Taste is on the thin side with notes of roasted grain, bread, toffee. I would expect the characteristic Belgian fruity yeast esters, but these are not present at all. The beer Is more like a British mild or bitter. Not a bad beer but quite out of style specs.
