Bottle 70 cl. Pours dark brown with an orange hue and a neat, beige head. Pruney nose with some dried and slightly tart fruit. Surprisingly light body, roasted malt and some phenols. Fairly anonymous. Not bad as such, just boring. 301013 back (2242) - Holstebro, DENMARK - FEB 25, 2014

Big sample from 66 cl. bottle. Pitch black with a thin, tanned head. Sweet, roasted aroma with coffee, dark chocolate, liquorice, dark fruits, wood, vanilla and a soft alcohol note from the whisky. Taste is sweet. Medium to full body, soft and creamy texture, soft carbonation. Finishes dry and bitter with liquorice and dark fruits. A hint of alcohol. Willemoes Jul - beers has gone from messy, sweet and alcoholic in the earlier vintages to something rather nice. Very pleasant Porter.

Svag duft af kaffe og måske en smule vanille. Meget mørk brun med kys brunt skum. Fyldig og sød af både malt og sukker. Svag eftersmag med en smule bitterhed.

Bottle 660ml. @ home.
Clear dark black colour with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, light moderate hoppy, citrus, licorice. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, roasted, licorice, chocolate, dark malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic.
660ml bottle, no. 13825, many thanks to Skinnyviking for this one. Bubbly, brownish head slowly fading over a deep, rosewood coloured body. Dotted spots on the glassware. Semi-sweet aroma of earthy malts with notes of coffee and peat. Quite well blended taste of cocoa powder, ash, whisky, and dark berries together with a roasted bitter ending. Fine bodied. A powerful and warming Yuletide feel. (Tromsø 29.12.2013).
